"I didn't mean to blurt it out this way." She sat up when he let go of her. 

He raked his hand through his hair. "Why would you say that kind of thing?" He didn't understand. 

It took a moment for her to realize he thought she was making it up. "Do you think I would joke about such a thing?" 

"So you really are pregnant." He confirmed. 

"I am." It was still new to her as well. "I found out barely two days ago as well. Loretta went to her parents's home to pay her ailing mother a visit and two days ago, I thought it would be nice to check up on them." She reminisced.

Two days ago. 

"My lady!" Loretta was surprised to see her, but at the same time confused. "I'm sorry I stayed for too long. I should have returned to the castle as soon as I knew how my parents were doing but I…" 

"Hey, I came to check up on you." Delaney interrupted her apology. 

"You did?"
