Bab 50: Am I dreaming?
Time passed by, quicker than they had notices, but when Wang Yi-An realised it was already 5:19 p.m. She shouted, "Oh goodness! The time passed by so quickly!" Wang Yi-An had spent over an hour inside the supply room! Wang Yi-An lowers her head slightly to apologised to him. "I’m sorry for taking up your time President Yang!"
"It’s okay… It’s not a problem. I love--" Yang Tian-Xu wanted to tell her that he loves her. But, he couldn't bring the courage to say it. So instead he said, "I love to help anyway I can." And then he forced the corner of his lips to curve upwards. His smile was very handsome, and she was grateful for his comfort, as she thanked him once more before she prepared to leave the supply room. Wang Yi-An held the ink-toner box in her arms as she was about to leave.
"Wait!" He said, as Wang Yi-An turned around, he took the bag with the new phone inside and walked over to her side, "You forgot this." She left the bag behind, but he brought it over for her. "Take it, even if you don’t use it, I still want you to have it." Yang Tian-Xu forced the phone back into her hands once more.
Wang Yi-An had a shy personality, she doesn't felt like she deserved it, but he kept pushing the phone into her hands, and told her, "Please take it!" She nodded and thanked him, then she turned back and left. Even though it was after hours, Wang Yi-An wanted to get her work done first before she return home.
Wang Yi-An had stayed after hours for another 35-minutes before she finished printing the sample package designs. Then she submits the designs to Yang Corps manufacturer. When Wang Yi-An packed her backpack and got ready to leave. He waited for her, for the exact moment when she was about to scan her access card to unlock the door. He stopped her from leaving as he asked her, "Do you need a ride home?" The clock almost hit 6.00 p.m. in six minutes. Most employees would consider it to be late, however, for Wang Yi-An the time was still considered early for her and she wanted to return to the Happiness Restaurant to work in the evening so she said, "No thank you, I will be fine." And left.
The office empty at 5:00 p.m. sharp, while Yang Tian-Xu stood there alone in the office, he looked at the clock on the wall as it displayed; 6:00 p.m. He glanced at Wang Yi-An's desk and noticed that she left the phone bag on her counter. Yang Tian-Xu sigh aloud, as he prepared to leave the office himself. Yet, he saw Wang Yi-An's table and stared at the phone, left behind; almost like the phone represented his heart, rejected before he could even confess. Unbox and, even the plastic wrapping on the box was untouched.
The parking lot after work hours were quiet, and he made his way to his black sport car. The lights in the parking lot made the car sparkled. He was about to make his way to his car when he heard Jin Qi-Long's voice calling his name, "Yang Tian-Xu!" Jin Qi-Long cursed at him. "You damn bastard!"
Yang Tian-Xu rolled down the window and saw how bad Jin Qi-Long looked; like he had came back from a vicious battle, his hair were a mess, his once perfect suit became wrinkled, and his faced had a little fingernail scratch mark on the side, close to his chin. His overall appearance was like he had struggled to get away from hell.
"Rough day?" Yang Tian-Xu asked with a mocking voice.
Pissed he said, "Yeah! Thanks to you!" in the most sarcastic tone. Jin Qi-Long had spent his entire afternoon cleaning up a messy cat-fight. It's undoubtful for him to be unhappy. The two girls fought each other viciously, and it wasn’t even for him! It was all for Yang Tian-Xu!
Jin Qi-Long’s pretty face got little scratches on the left side, it happened during the fight between the two girls. They hit him as he tried to separate them. His family had power, and it was a good thing or else the news would be all over the media, and his company image might be affected.
"This is all your fault!" he said as he pointed to the injuries on his body.
Me? Why is it my fault?" Yang Tian-Xu was clueless about the fight, more like he didn’t care about it; also he never wanted to ask about it.
"Those girls fought each other for you! They compared with each other about who would make a better Future Mrs Yang, they nagged, and pulled me into their fight! You should have been there!" Jin Qi-Long felt hopeless as he saw Yang Tian-Xu uninterested. "You don't even care do you?"
“Nope.” Yang Tian-Xu continued to walk over to his car. Jin Qi-Long tagged along with him, and Yang Tian-Xu stopped to ask him. “Why are you following me?”
"Oh, come on! My friend! Let’s go have a drink!" Jin Qi-Long remained cheerful even after what he been through, he wrapped his arms around Yang Tian-Xu’s shoulder, and as they continued their short walk to the car, Jin Qi-Long told Yang Tian-Xu. "Come on, let’s go today! I need a drink!"
"Okay, okay…" Yang Tian-Xu didn’t refuse him, because Jin Qi-Long looked like hell. Perhaps today had been a rough and long day for him too, but Yang Tian-Xu was considerate of his friend. Also, Yang Tian-Xu felt like he needed to have a drink himself. Perhaps this will settle the frustration he had inside.
Jin Qi-Long hopped into the passenger's seat and told him to go to the District 43. The district was the busiest district in City Y, and with lots of restaurants and clubs that are open for 24-hours a day. At first, they went to their regular club called 67. However, suddenly it seems like there have been a few drunk men who caused problems outside the club. Of course, Yang Tian-Xu and Jin Qi-Long were men of vital status, so instead of going into Club 67, they decided it would be best not to get themselves involved.
Feeling like it was such his unlucky day, Jin Qi-Long couldn't even visit his favourite club for a decent drink! "Ah!" he shouted, as he screamed down in the street "Why God! Why are you so cruel to me!?" The time was 8:00 p.m. sharp, and they wandered the street looking for a decent place for a drink for the past 45-minutes. They wanted to stay as far away from the trouble outside Club 67, so they walked a bit down the street.
As a stubborn man, if he wanted a drink, Jin Qi-Long would get one. So they walked down another street passed Club 67. At that moment Yang Tian-Xu saw Wang Yi-An just outside of a restaurant called, Happiness. He stood there for a second and thought to himself. "Am I dreaming?"
Jin Qi-Long noticed that Yang Tian-Xu had stopped, and he turned back to look at him. "Hey! Why did you stop?" And so he walked back and stood beside Yang Tian-Xu, calling for his friend who remained in a dazzled state. Jin Qi-Long looked over at where Yang Tian-Xu stared at, and he noticed that Yang Tian-Xu was looking across the street. Yang Tian-Xu's eyes were locked on to the busy-working Wang Yi-An.
She had her hair up in a bun as she worked, she liked this hair style because her hair doesn't get in the way. Wang Yi-An had a yellow T-shirt on with the red Happiness Restaurant’s logo on the back, covered over by a red apron. She was outside in the restaurant's storefront as she changed the afternoon menu into the night menu.
Jin Qi-Long saw Wang Yi-An as well and smiled. "Let’s go have a late-night snack while we drink there!" Jin Qi-Long wrapped his arms around Yang Tian-Xu’s shoulders, and they crossed the street. "Hey! Wang Yi-An!" Jin Qi-Long called out her name.
She turned around to the voice that called her name and saw the two handsome fellas as they approached her. "President Yang and Mr Jin! Good Evening!" Wang Yi-An was surprised to see them, but she smiled at as she made her effort to walk closer to them.
