Qin Zhiyou must've just arrived because she saw him on his phone, seemingly about to call her. Luckily, it wasn't end-of-work rush hour and there were few people around, so only a few colleagues saw him. Upon spotting him, she quickly walked over, looked around, and asked in a low voice, "What are you doing here?"

He never comes to her office; when he reluctantly dropped her off for work, he would stop a block away. Qin Zhiyou glanced at her with furrowed brows. "Grandpa tripped and has been sent to the nursing home."

Lu Weixi was stunned for a brief moment but quickly recovered. Just then, Xiaochen and Xiaoqian saw her from the second floor and called out, "Lu!"

Lu Weixi quickly replied, "I'm taking a leave of absence. There's an emergency at home."
