Bab 77: Chapter 77: Leaving or Staying (1)

The last word was so tiny, like a mosquito, no longer discernible.

All the warmth on Qin Zhiyou's face froze, his expression rapidly changing. Indeed, he didn't hear clearly what Lu Weixi said last; he didn't want to. He even regretted that he had purposely leaned in to hear her sleep talk!

Lu Weixi in her sleep was unaware of anything, just feeling cold and snuggled closer. Qin Zhiyou's eyes darkened, and his brows furrowed deeper. He reached out, wanting to push this woman away, but when his palm touched her shoulder, he heard her pitiful voice, "Don't leave..."

His fingers clenched tightly into a fist, his entire body tensed up. God knows how long it took for him to relax again. He swallowed and pulled her back into his arms.

He lowered his head, his lips slightly deep as they captured the tip of her hair, teeth grinding against it in resentment, "Sometimes I really wish..."

What he wished, he didn't say, just let out a long sigh after a long time.
