Yang Dao killed the man, however, he was not burdened by the sad grin of the victim. This was a fight they choose with complete awareness of the consequences and thus were responsible for bearing the result as well. The man fell to the floor and his head separated from his body. It rolled over to the feet of the boy. 

The Dao child non-comically raised the blood-stained blade and said, "Hmm, sharp blade." Then he dragged the dead body down from the building and dumped it in the mass grave. 

He was not a completely cold-blooded machine and prayed for the deceased slowly in his heart. He only wished for this sort of people to get what they deserve and pass over to the afterlife without any obstacles. It may seem cold to think like this, but the people were all sinners.
