Bab 5: Dear Chronicle...
Dear Chronicle, my name is Arabella Pythe. I was chosen to be a Keeper, your Keeper, and it feels like a dream. I never imagined that a girl like me would be chosen for such an important position. Miss Alarei said I was of pure heart, I really don't know what that means, and I don't know anything about you except that you can trap bad people inside you like you did to that wicked witch. I also know that I'm supposed to write important things inside you, I just don't know what.
I hope I will be a good Keeper, and I hope I can learn more about you as I grow up. I'm only 11 and I am scared that I'll let the everyone I know and love down. Just like father.
My mother told me to just be patient and the knowledge will come to me over time. So I will. But I do have a question. If bad people are trapped inside you, will they really living as drawings forever, or will they stay alive inside? If so, I'm definitely scared. But I will do my best to make sure everyone doesn't have to worry about anything. The guardians do their part, and I'll do mine.
