Bab 9: My name is......
"Join our crew" Luffy yells, eyes sparkling, while Zoro, Nami and Usopp are still with their mouths open, after seeing a talking cat, but after recovering they scream at Luffy.
"You can't, ask anyone to join us," Nami says, kicking Luffy
"He's a talking cat, he's bad luck," Usopp says, grimacing
"It is you who bring bad luck !!!" Says the cat, jumping, towards Usopp, giving him a taekwondo style kick, straight in the face, which sends him flying towards a table destroying him
After a few seconds, following the loud noises heard, the cooks look towards the room, to check the cause of the noise, and once they arrive, they see a boy with an extraordinarily long nose on a broken table, and other boys, who quarrel with a cat.
"What is happening?" Zeff's strong voice arrives, causing everyone present to twitch their eyebrows.
But before anyone can answer him, you hear the sound of the door being forced open, as a man, sickly, with a hat, and dark circles, enters, asking for food, pointing a gun at one of the cooks. But what happens next is not what all the customers expected, in fact, the cook, seeing that the newcomer has no money to pay, with a shot in the back, knocks him out, and kicks him out.
After this little skirmish, the eyes of the cooks, and straw hat, focus again on the table, where the cat was previously, but unexpectedly, now it is nowhere.
"Where it went?? I have to find him, he has to join my crew, "says Luffy, as he starts running around the entire ship, looking for his new self-proclaimed crew mate.
"Where are you going? Go back to work !!! " Zef yells, as he chases Luffy, hitting him on the head, with his enormously long hat.
"Leave me geezer !!!"
"What did you call me, brat !!!"
While the two were playing cat and mouse, the cat had already moved away from the scene, and was on the deck of the restaurant ship, looking towards the boundless sea, wondering, what he should do with his new life, he has already established, that it is no longer found on earth, but in a place where the fruits give special powers. Here, from what Mark said, either you are a civilian, or you become a pirate, bringing death wherever you go, or a marine, or a policeman, but one of the corrupt ones.
The choice could not be more difficult than that, he doesn't want to be one of those pirates, even if he killed during his stay on the island, but only killed bad people, who attacked him first. A marine might be the right choice, but ever since he woke up, he feels that what he wants is the freedom to do what he wants, so that's a no too. And as far as being a normal cat is concerned, it is not possible, first of all, because he does not want to be a normal person, or a normal cat.
His thought is interrupted by the sound of a door opening, looking down, he sees the pirate who has been beaten up by the cook, sitting, looking at the sea, while the cook with blond hair approaches him with a steaming plate.
"It eats!"
"Food?!!" Says the pirate dashing into the plate, starting to eat quickly, without even chewing properly
"This is the first time… I've eaten such good food," he says, crying loudly
"Good, right?" Says the cook with a smile, which threatens to burst from his face.
But before I can answer, a voice comes from behind them "well, you feel better now that you've eaten right? Shishishi. Hey cook, why don't you come with us and join our crew "
"Huh? NO!" Sanji answers, crushing his cigarette on the ground
In the next ten, twenty minutes, the three men begin a conversation, overheard by a cat, about the past life of the restaurant ship's chief cook, and the dreams that the three want to achieve, including the goal that all pirates want to achieve the One Piece, by the waiter with the straw hat, and the All Blue, objective, by the cook with the cigarette perpetually in his mouth. While the third man, after hearing about the goals of the others, his face seems to whiten even more, until he explodes
"Forget the major route, if you go there, you will die"
"I don't care, I'll be the pirate king. Shishishi "says Luffy, bringing silence into the conversation., Until…
"Join as a cook in my crew"
"No"
… ..
After another couple of minutes, the pirate named Gin from Krieng's crew leaves with a lifeboat, kindly offered by Sanji, which also throws the empty plates into the sea, so as not to have evidence. Then Sanji, returns to the restaurant, while Luffy, jumps on the roof of the restaurant and finds himself in front of another of his engagement goals, in addition to Sanji
"Cat! I found you, "he says with a smile
"I told you, I want you to be part of my crew," he says
Hearing this, the cat thinks about what he saw a while ago, and about the interactions this pirate in front of him had with the other two, and his instincts tell him that he is not a bad person.
"I will not join a pirate who kills the innocent," the cat says firmly
"Then you will join us! Shishi I knew "
"What are you saying?" Says the cat with surprise
"Well, we are not pirates who kill innocent people, so you will join us, it's decided" he says seriously.
Before the cat can speak again, to reply, he is stopped again, hearing his words
"Now that you are our mate, can you tell me your name?"
After hearing this question, the cat seems to freeze, it has been since he was on the island that he has been reflecting on this, but he could not remember his previous name, so he tried to invent one himself. And among the many he has thought of, there is one who, when he thinks about it, has the feeling that it is a suitable name for him.
