Bab 49: Chapter 49: A Single Hit

It happened to Kai before.

The feeling when you receive a hit so strong you fall unconscious during the smack, and you wake up only moments later. Sometimes briefly after, sometimes it takes days. When you wake up right after you take a minute to realize that you’ve been hit at all. Your brain gets confused for that brief period of time.

That’s what was happening right there. He was lying on the floor. And he felt the pain on his blood-covered face only moments later after he opened his eyes.

But ‘he’ wasn’t Kai. It was Morbo. This time Morbo was the one facing the ground.

Failing to understand what caused to drag him across the dried roots floor and cause such a big impact on the face that it gets all opened and bloody like that.
