Bab 222: Chapter 222: A SWIM FOR VICTORY

Jegudiel was thrown easily unto the wall,

Breaking his wings on the process.

The sight earned a laugh from Eligorr,

Who then slowly walks toward him,

Careful not to be taken by any surprises.

Jegudiel's eyes quickly watered in fear,

Not fear for his own, but for the safety of the children.

He stands up, despite the pain in his legs,

And to his God, he carefully begged.

The silence creeped Eligorr out,

But his pride continued to surmount.

He mocked Jegudiel to make the first move,

And the blue-eyed angel, followed soon.

His empty hands suddenly glowed,

And in mere seconds, he was surrounded by smoke.

Eligorr's mouth almost yelled in surprise,

When all of the smoke was replaced by ice.

A trident appeared in his hand,

Adorned by blue jewels, matching with his eyes.

Before Eligorr knew it, he was face-to-face with the angel,

And in his mind, he was afraid, but won't dare tell it.

The speed was faster than a blink,

And with such, Eligorr felt too stunned to speak.

He tried to hold him down with his arms,

But the feeble-looking angel felt stronger than he was.

As he moved his eyes to distract himself from the pain,

He noticed something, remarkably different.

The angel's arms, were heavily marked with ink.

Which suddenly released spikes of ice,

That killed the monster, trying to break their fight.

"Water nourishes life,

But with it, one could also die."

The archangel slashed him with the large metal weapon,

Breaking his body in two, in just mere seconds.

The demon gagged and gasped for air,

As Jegudiel readied for another strike,

Not giving him chances to escape.

Yet before he could do so,

He was abruptly thrown in the air.

Eligorr had summoned more monsters,

And refused to fight fair.

A small monster then approached him,

Licking his wounds and helping him heal,

But the greedy demon,

Ate him up like what one would to a meal.

The small grub-like demon cried as he chewed its body,

And soon, after he swallowed, can feel himself regenerating quickly.

He knew that it wouldn't be much of a powerup,

But knowing he could regenerate lost limbs, felt a little tough.

He smiles cockily again and tells the two big serpent-like monsters to share the angel,

But none of them listened and tried to eat him for themselves.

Jegudiel felt his body being split to two,

And try as he may to create more ice, the serpents won't let go.

They do not feel pain, and do not know pain,

So they kept crushing his bones,

Making him wail.

Eligorr was about to slash the angel in half,

Smiling michievously, holding a laugh.

"Don't cry now, I'm just paying back.

It hurts a while when you did that stuff.

So I'll return it this time."

He lifted his ebony colored sword,

made from his dark energy of anger and hatred.

But before it completely falls,

He heard a calm whisper, calling to him tauntingly.

Barachiel quickly slashes his own sword before Eligorr could realize,

Causing his back to bleed, as he widened his eyes.

He quickly moves away from the other archangel,

Who have flew by then, and prioritized saving Jegudiel.

He quickly decapitates the serpents,

Releasing Jegudiel free from torment.

What Barachiel thought was an easy win however,

Didn't turned into what he thought.

The serpents grew more heads,

Making Barachiel wonder how they'd end up dead.

Eligorr laughs at Barachiel's confusion,

After all, that's what to be expected by Azazel's type S monsters.

He knew he shouldn't bring them out for selfish reasons,

But he was losing, and he needed something to fend the angels out in such poor situation.

He quickly whistles, orderingt the serpents to catch Barachiel,

But the angel had no plans to also play fair.

He releases his own special object, a watch.

That could slow down time, though not by a lot.

Eligorr was impressed by the speed he had shown,

And the fact that he seemed to predict where the serpents would go.

Jegudiel on the other hand, decided to fight Eligorr on his own,

But he felt a chilling presence, because the air suddenly felt cold.

Eligorr knew what the presence was,

And in fear, decided to recreate the mask.

With his memory and his own power,

He was able to mimic Azazel's cover.

By the time the Demon Lord arrived,

Jegudiel couldn't helped but widen his eyes.

"Azazel, you have been summoned by Lucifer,

But seeing how you seemed to be busy,

I'll help you take care of one,

Before you come to fulfil your to-be given duty."

Eligorr smiles and nodded his head,

"Thank you, I very much need this help."

Eligorr charged at Barachiel as Jegudiel ran towards the demon,

Who he knew, would be hard to fight for several reasons.

...

Leviathan's breath coated the air with chill,

And knowing it may distract Barachiel,

The archangel of kindness thought of another way.

He needed to get this demon far from them,

No matter, and whatever it may take.

He quickly distracted Leviathan with blinding attacks,

Enough for the angel to move him back.

Soon enough, they were outside,

But it wasn't at all wise.

He saw that his dragons had been waiting all this time,

And have already bore holes on the soil as well.

Jegudiel took a deep breath and sighed,

Not thinking of his injuries sustained from his previous fight.

He quickly opened his wings despite the crushing pain,

Hoping that he'll be able to fly again.

But sadly, he couldn't even lift himself an inch,

Making his matchup, more dangerous that what it originally seemed.

"Just give up, and we'll make more use of you,"

Leviathan suggested, but Jegudiel refused.

The stubborness did not made Leviathan happy at all,

Since he himself, isn't much confident of his capabilities and forms.

But seeing that they'll fight either way,

He moved forward and snapped his hands.

The two male dragons hungrily attacked him,

But Jegudiel was as slippery as an eel.

Being able to summon water as well,

He managed to make a fool of them.

His speed out of spite, had tripled,

Despite his own feet, close to being crippled.

He felt incredible warmth surging in his veins,

And before he knew it, his wings turned to flames.

He looked above, only to hear the voice of his God,

Telling him that he should pursue no matter what.

The motivation filled his heart with warmth,

And with the wings slowly healed,

He was confident to inflict more harm.

The sight shocked Leviathan so much,

Calling the heavens unfair for aiding him on their match.

Deeply envying the support he recieved,

He summoned more monsters, even if it's risking his limit.

"You must be crazy,

Going more than all-out for a little angel.

Am I too intimidating?

Are my wings of fire,

Reminding you of something?"

Leviathan's anger worsened by his words,

So he quickly yelled at his dragons to prove his God wrong.

The dragons tried to charge Jegudiel at once,

Who then quickly mixed fire with ice.

The water derived from the clash was quickly controlled by the archangel,

And with a quick twist, turned it to spikes.

It pierced the nearest dragon running towards him,

Making the others shake in fear.

Jegudiel didn't stopped for a moment's blink,

And moved forward to kill the others, faster than they could think.

Angered, Leviathan desperately decided to get close,

So he could freeze his blood once and for all.

But since his wings were widely spread,

He was able to sense the air.

And once he felt something go behind him,

He knew Leviathan was there.

He quickly turned around and pierced the demon's hand,

Earning a long and loud yell.

His opponent's face twisted in pity,

But knew that it was to be done, no matter how bloody.

The pain drove Leviathan to risk it all,

And quickly kicked Jegudiel right at his jaw.

The impact made the angel fall,

Letting go of his trident, that in the waters got lost.

The angel weakly lifts his head,

Only to see himself bleeding on the waters.

He though, had little time to rest,

As he could already hear hungry growls, made by the sea monsters.

He looked at the trident, slowly being swallowed by the depths of the waters,

And quickly feared that his chance of winning would be lost forever.

He blasted the dragons away with his fire,

Hoping to give him much room to dive on the waters.

But they also followed.

Leviathan, wanting Jegudiel to die froze the water as well,

But the warmth on Jegudiel's wings caused his ice to melt.

This pissed the demon off and was forced to swim after the angel,

Who was still struggling to reach his precious trident.

Leviathan's eyes glowed red in desperation,

And seeing that Jegudiel had truly been faster,

Urged the demon lord, himself, to grow into a sea monster.
