Bab 2: Chapter 1: The Kingdom of Julius.
The tale opens up in the middle of the afternoon, the Knight of Demons is flying through the sky drinking out of one of his gourds. When he spots a directory.
"Ahh there it is, finally A directory post! I thought I might have missed it." He says as he takes a drink from his gourd. *Gulp *Gulp *Gulp, "Guess I'll check it out, I'm getting a little tired of flying". "Now" he says as he begins to recite a chant. "Wings of the demon sin of WRAITH your aide is now done! Now obey and away till called upon!"
Suddenly the six bat-like wings that were on his back once propelling him through the air, retract and disappear into his body. Henri then plummets into the ground right in front of the Directory.
"That was fun" he says sarcastically "now let's see just how far the Kingdom of Julius is". He says as he looks at the directory…. "hmm so 3 miles eh." He says as he takes another drink from his gourd. "Not too bad", he says as he stretches. "Now then" he says as he takes off walking down the road headed to the Kingdom of Julius.
After about 45 min Henery reaches his destination: the kingdom of Julius. King Julius was a very rich man, one of the richest kings to be born. Reputation of his wealth stretched far into many nations. As Henry approaches the gates, he is stopped by two seven foot tall guardsmen blocking the entrance. The guardsmen were tall and robust.
Good thing I made it though; gulp* gulp* gulp*..... ahhhhh. Just ran out of Ale. Guess the first thing I'll do is stop by their tavern to fill up. Who knows I might even get a few answers to my questions?"... huh, I guess that's the welcome committee. He says
"Hault!," one of the guardsmen calls out to Henry in a deep loud voice. "Who goes there?!."
The Dark knight stands ten yards before them. "For I come in peace" he says as he raises his hands into the heavens. "For I am, a wandering knight. For I've run outta ale on my travels, and I wanted to replenish my gourds. I also want a word with ye King.
"A simple wander such as yourself, what could ye possibly want with the King? The guard asks. as he looks down upon Henry talking to him. "For The Kings a busy man" he says as he crosses his arms. "And has no time to waste with mere peasant folk he says to the knight of demons.
"You know, It's none of your Damn concern!, you overgrown door stop
"What did you say to me!" The guardsmen says to The demon knight in a hostile tone. "I'll just have to show you respect" he says as he goes to reach for his spear. But he is quickly stopped by his partner.
"Wait just a second" the other guardsmen speaks up; "I think I recognize ye'"... "Yey, for Ye is the knight of Demons, for ye is Dark knight Henry." He says as he points."
"Dark knight Henry!" the other guardsmen repeats in an unsettling tone. As he then stares at Henri.
"So, are you just gunna stare at me? Or are you gunna open the Damn Door?" He asks.
The guards look at each other and open the gates,
"Pardon us" a guardsman cries out as he bows. "Ye Sir Henry", his partner says, "please excuse our rudeness, for ye is free to enter the Kingdom of Julius." He then signals for the gates to be opened.
"Thanks, and no worries: Just don't let it happen!" He says as he walks past them and walks through kingdom gates entering the Kingdom of Julius.
After walking through the gate, Hennri is taken back at what he sees. The Kingdom is modern and uses technology. Its streets have street lights, and there roads have been paved.
. The Kingdom of Julius isnt very large. It's made up of 1 capital, 1 city and 1 town. And each location is based on social status i.e. royale, noble or aristocrat
His Kingdom is sovereign governed, but does have ties to the world government, who's run by the church. all the citizens are rich and are either aristocrats, Nobles, Royale or of Royale blood and dress in some of the finest cloth and wear some of the shiniest jewels money could buy.
"So this is the Kingdom of Julius eh," he says talking to himself out loud as he walks down the street observing the kingdom. " Its what I expected, After all King Julius is one of the richest kings in the country." "Yup, he says as he looks around. all the citizens in here must be aristocrats or of noble class, just look at how they're dressed. Haha just look at me, you can tell I dont belong here. He says as he walks through the kingdom.
The citizens begin to stare at him with fear, mothers cover the eyes of their children, while other turn their backs to him. Shop owners begin to close their karts. Henri finds a directory, it shows him that he is currently in the Marketplace and that Julius castle is located in the capital.
So I guess I gotta go to the Capital he says as he looks up. Haha what happened he says as he looks around. its like a ghost town now, just my style. He says ad he begins to walk down the road."
They're scared as hell; Great! he says with a grin. So my reputation has stretched to this kingdom," he says with a cheery tone as he continues to walk down the now empty street " These uppity people are too damn scared to even approach me, how didn't those guards recognize me? Stupid bastards, as scared as they are I wonder how long its gonna take before I have some visitors he goes on talking to himself as he walks.
I need to find a Damn Tavern, refill my gourds and have a drink before the guards show up he says as he passes a templar Bank.
. " a templar bank huh she says as he stop in front of the bank. I guess it makes sense. Templars do lend money and give loans with no interest to many kings and religious leaders, so that means Julius has ties to the church. This is good, once I collect my cheque from Julius, I can deposit it in my account and be on my way…. I might as well stop in an make a withdrawal" I dought I could bum a drink of these uppity folks he says as he walks into the Banking center
Among walking in the institute, The Dark Knight is greeted by a Teller.
"Good day to ye sir knight, How can I assist ye?"
Hello teller" the dark knight says. I would like to check my account."
"Certainly sir" the teller says to him, " just write down your 4 digit account number and slide it through the glass, then I'll look it up in our records"
".Ok mr Hennri it appears that your balance is, he says as he writes down the number in the record books". (200,000$)
"Ok, let me get get 40$", The teller then hands him a sack of gold coins.
"Thank you good sir have a good day."
"Now, all I must do now is find this tavern to refill my gourds"…. "dare she is!" he yells as he races over towards the entrance.
Once in, the dark knight hurries right to the bar. Bartender he says as he sits at on one of the bar stools. Let me get a refill of your finest and strongest ale and 1 of ye tallest mugs too.
"Ok" the bartender says as he grabs the gourds. "That'll be 35$ gold he says, as he sits the refilled gourds on the bar and slide Henry a mug.
Henry gives the bartender the gold and takes his ale. He then begins guzzling the mug.
"Burb* excuse me, this is some fine ale" he says as he begins to cugg, the remainder of the ale. He then slams the mug on the bar. "Now, that's what I call refreshing!" "You know, I don't think I wanna be to drunk when meeting king Julius burb* he is a king." Henry says to himself out loud.
"Beg my pardon Sir, but I cant help but notice that ye aren't from around here?"
"You're right about that bartender, I'm a wander."... "he, let me get 1 more mug two, make this one a regular size."
"A wander huh,a strong looking knight such as yourself" the bartender says as he slides him the mug. "I got it now, aren't you Dark Knight Henry?"
The tavern suddenly gets quite, and people stare at Henry whispering. Just then armed guards bust in the tavern.
"Pardon our abrupt intrusion," a guard says, he then looks at Henry. "Dark Knight Henry, we've come here to escort you.to see lord Julius."
"I was wondering when you guys would show up" he says as he grabs his mug of ale and quickly downs it. Burp* "I'm glad to be escorted, it saves me a lot of hassle" he says getting up. "Before I forget, bartender how much do I owe you?"
"Don't worry it's on the house " the bartender tells him.
Henry grins at the old bartender, he then turns to the guards. " I'm ready whenever y'all are" Henry says to them as he walks over to the group of grads and they all walk out of the tavern.
