"Raise your chin, Amelia. You ain't going to hide under that ghosty hair forever."

Amelia? There must have been some mistake!

All the information felt jumbled up in Diamant's head. What was it about the scrolls? What was he saying? Was this man drunk?! They couldn't have been useless, she had been working on them for a long time now!

Then she heard people muttering as they rushed into the room.

"Hey, it's the new gal."

"Such trouble she is."

Hearing that, her mind thought fast and she decided to play along. There was still something she was missing and she felt an overpowering need to find out. Somehow, she felt that this was the way.

"Excuse me..." She heard someone say hurriedly then she could see a pair of black muddy boots appear before her. As her eyes were fixated on the floor and her scrolls, all she could easily see and judge them by were their boots.
