Bab 37: Chapter 36 - Memories of the Dead

The hall was filed to the brim as many people tried to be present for the union. They watched as the priest declared Natty and Malik as husband and wife. The new couples were overjoyed.

Soon enough it was time for the ball. The instrumentalists got into action and the music filled the air. The ballroom looked so beautiful.

Diamant felt someone tap on her shoulder while she was trying hard to look for Sunain in the crowd. She could hear little whispers and when she turned, Aaron was smiling at her.

"Shall I have this dance, My Lady?" He asked her with a smile and she could see DL once again.

She stood frozen for a second while all she could hear was DL's voice saying to her.

"Shall I have this dance, my Ania." She could still even feel his warm hands on her. But why? He was dead and she had made sure of it. Why were this memories everywhere she turned?

She accepted his outstretched hand and Aaron started dancing with her.
