The walk to the Wynter house was unexpectedly long, especially for a team that had long legs and could get to their destination in so little time. They were conflicted, and the closer they got to the Wynter house, the louder they could all hear Alanor's heart beating. 

He had gone mute for a while, and they wanted to tell him that all would be fine, but then this wasn't fine. Fine never involved the young Wynter and his mate popping up with a woman they didn't know where he had come with. 

They were curious and equally determined to find out what had happened.
