"Are you leaving me too?" Alanor asked earnestly as he lay on the couch beside his mate. 

His tone showed vulnerability, something that only the Winner team ever got to hear. It was not a common sight for Alanor away from home, but being here with his mate, his defenses had come down, he had let him in through and through. 

And maybe that was why he was easily worried about what his future would look like. But then what was a future without Unar like? Destruction?

"What? No. Why would I leave you too?"

"Everyone I love always leaves."

"You love me?"

"Of course, why else would I bring you home…" Alanor trailed off. Oh he was an emotional mess, but at least this time, he was Unar's mess, one that Unar wasn't going to try and clean up, but a mess Unar would have to live with for the rest of his life, and the young prince didn't mind that.
