"And since you I'm so sure that I won't hurt you in front of my Unar, then you might as well take back your dare, because you and I will get this done, whether he is here or not. Your call," Alanor said as he pulled Nymeriah towards him, with his magic. 

He was choking her, while he pulled him towards her. 

He wanted her to feel the pain he had felt when his humanity switch had been undone, the pain he felt when his world came down on him, and the realization of betrayal hit him like a tow truck. 

Alanor wanted her to feel everything he had felt and he wasn't going to relent anytime soon.
