"You know where to find us if you need us," Leroy said right before they opened the doors to Edison's study and walked out, leaving the broken family to deal with the chaos.

It wasn't that much of a brainer though. All Edison had to do was be honest with his son, but then that in itself was a gamble, which Edison, no matter how much he loved his son, had to think of carefully.

"This discussion is over Unar. Go check on the warlock in the dungeons, and make sure that the barriers are strengthened," Edison said to his son dismissively.

Ilya looked at her husband, sighing defeatedly. She knew he was keeping his promise but damn, why the hell did it feel like she was living in a world that had her people in pieces?

"Fine, if you wanna play it like that," Unar said angrily as he looked at his father, before turning to his mother. He wasn't sure what he was expecting, but Edison being this adamant, was never in his plans.
