"Alanor—" Heide said to Alanor, hoping to the goddess that his son wasn't thinking that all this madness was truly a good idea. Maybe he was crazy, but was Alanor that kind of crazy?

What happened to rationality?

Heide couldn't let his son take the fall for something that wasn't even his fault to begin with.

"C'mon Heide, we can kill two birds with one stone. I can keep you guys safe while completing the toughest mission in my life, I know—" Alanor said, but he was interrupted by a table flying through the room and into the wall.

Zelina went silent for the first time, her face full of shock, not believing what was happening. Anyone who had interacted with the witches of Greroth knew that Heide was the most stable of them all.

He always thought before he did anything and right now, he looked angry. No, he was angry and disappointed at the same time. He couldn't believe that his son would even be considering this.
