Bab 45: ETERNAL REST!
The fast and loud beeping sound of the machine woke up Tang Xian, abruptly who was sleeping on the same bed with Song Jun holding his arm where no IV'S was inserted. When he looked at fluctuating heartbeats of Song Jun, all his thoughts ran wild remembering incidence of a few days back and those words of doctors when he asked them not to get any nurse for Song Jun's care.
The biggest hospital of Beijing had admitted Song Jun for the second time in the same month, with all the secrecy. It was the biggest hospital in the town which provided all the rich, influential, top celebrities with all the secrecy they required to not let go of their problems and suffer to public.
When they took Song Jun in, his condition was not at stimulating to get okay but still, the belief of Tang Xian and Dr Cao's words assured them to take him in. When they checked all the vitals of Song Jun they realised his lungs got infected fifty per cent, which was not at all encouraging for them and next day they found out that he got pneumonia and the constant pressure from seniors in the hospital made it even worse for the doctors who were treating him at the same time.
But when the agony and yearn in Tang Xian's eyes and please reached to their heart, something stirred inside them which asked their souls to treat Song Jun with all their might.
When they successfully got the rid of the infection from the lungs one more problem they faced. The constant intake of medicines for his hallucinations, Song Jun's body got so immune to any kind of medicines that responding to medicines became weak.
The things were improving but at a very slow rate which they wanted to be fast. They feared that it can damage the lungs permanently but after waiting for two days in ICU they let Tang Xian come inside his room but at the conditions of his safety.
They specifically taught Tang Xian about all the systems which were working on Song Jun at that time.
"Mr Tang, see you are denying the help of nurse for Mr Song Jun but you will need to be very careful about it. See Mr Tang this machine is attached to the heart of Mr Song. By which we can monitor how his heart is functioning. This monitor showing up-down patters of lines showing his heartbeats. If in any case this pattern will get disturbed you have to call us immediately.
This second machine out here is showing how his oxygen level is and if you see him breathing heavily or it is laboured then you have to increase his oxygen level by whirling this button here. Maintaining the oxygen level will be our priority, Mr Tang. His living is dependent on it. If any case like if he will not get required oxygen, it will pressure lungs to work on their own and if they will work in this conditions, I am not sure if they will able to take that much of pressure and it can worsen the condition of his heart functioning because the heart is dependent on lungs to get the purified oxygen, to get it into the blood and then to the whole body.
Mr Tang I am trying to tell you in simple language but you have to keep this level in check all the time. If you find any problems in this you have to work on you and till that time you have to push this emergency red button. We can't take any risk about his life now. Do you understand Mr Tang?"
Remembering the doctor's words he tried to move the lever of oxygen machine but realised it that it was already on the highest level of it. He
immediately pressed the emergency red button in the room to call doctors and ran to hold the Song Jun's hand. Tang Xian took Song Jun's hand in his hands and started calling his name,
"Judi, Judi what happened? Judi wake up, Judi no you can't do this with me. Do you get me? Fast get on the right track. I am with you right here right now and believe me, I will be with you forever."
But there was no response came from the other side of his world. Like the serenity of the siesta has become his ally. The companion who showed him the mercy that he has been yearning since he got separated from his soulbound.
Wasn't it the best to dive deep into the eternal sea of emotions and pursuits, then living in the reality which was never going to give him the only soul he yearns for? It was easy and the most perfect alternative to chose.
Then beeping sound risen more and shortly the rhythm of his breathing felt lengthy and laboured like it was the most painful and arduous task to do. What are you doing Jun? Why you are making it difficult for your gege?
{Inside Song Jun's mind}
"Xian ge...Xian ge...Where are you, Xian ge? Xian ge..."
10 years old Judi's voice echoed in the amicable nature. The mountain top which used to echo every voice that used to come there echoed Song Jun's voice too and promptly the second sound came into the vicinity.
"Judi, I am here with you."
As he said those words they looked at each other blissfully enough to make other people smile by its effect.
"What else you want to do, my Judi? Is this fun is enough or do you want to go back to the place where people will stop us to meet?"
The gust of anguish touched Song Jun's mind and soul at the same time, he looked at his Xian ge and said in a very dreary voice,
"Gege, if I go back now you won't stay with me like this? Will you do not listen to me like this anymore, will you not stay with me till eternity?"
"No, Judi if you will go back now I won't be able to live with you. These people will not let me be with you like this but I think you should go back there now."
The little boy peered up to his gege's gaze and emotions got collected in his eyes who were about to lose like crazy.
"Xian ge, you don't want me to stay with you? Do you want to go away from me? You don't want me anymore in your life?"
The question pushed his Xian ge to the darkest abbeys of hell where he never wanted to go. He immediately stood in front of his little didi and held him close to his heart.
"No, no that's not true my didi, it is not true. All I wanted in my life is only you. All I wanted only you. Never say that I dont want you but that world doesn't allow us to have this relationship. They think we are doing sin. They think that I am bad my Judi."
"Then I never want to go back to that world gege. I will not go back. All I want in my life is you my gege. Regardless of where and how we live, all I want is you, stay with you, live my life with you. I will never go away from you, gege."
"Then promise me, Judi, that you will stay with me, if ever I will go away from you, you will come to me, no matter where I am when I will call you, you will come back to me. Promise me, Judi. You will come back when I will call you."
"Yes, yes gege, regardless of wherever I am I will come to you. Just call my name gege, I will come back to you."
"Then Judi just close your eyes and let yourself fall from this mountain's cliff I will meet you at the end of it."
As Tang Xian said these words to his Judi, he vanished into thin air like he was never there. Song Jun searched for his gege by calling his name but when he remembered the words his gege said to him, he went on the edge of the cliff and closed his eyes to take a breath in the air where his gege was standing just now and soon let go of his body from the cliff never to come back again.
When the doctor entered the room, all they saw was losing someone's life because of danger to his lungs and losing others because of danger to his sanity. They moved Tang Xian who was crying like anything holding Song Jun's hand in his hand.
They tried everything to improve the condition Song Jun by giving him a shot of medicine but even after getting rid of all the infection and pneumonia that was in Song Jun's body, they were clueless why he wasn't ready to stay in this world.
His heart was giving upon them.
It was giving up on his Xian ge.
His heart had given up on love.
And soon all the sounds which were screaming that person's life was in danger died down, The oxygen which was going inside the living person stopped dramatically.
At the end of all the beeps when they realised they can't do anything, they turned to look at the clueless person who was waiting for them to give him the good news.
"I am sorry Mr Tang, we couldn't save him."
