Lumielle quirked a brow, "The Church or Jenoix?" She queried, they were two separate entities.
The Church was probably seen as an institution not warranting trust, but Jenoix was different. He was charismatic, he had purged the old and was starting the wave of the new. That was how Lumielle would have spun it if she was behind the scenes. Jenoix always mirrored her, so she had some type of faith that he would do the same.
Lumielle wondered if the nobles were whispering about how the church could not be trusted.
It would make sense for the hesitancy. A stickler for the old, the aristocrats always were tense when it came to change. It made Lumielle wary.
