Ophelia never asked him for anything. She didn't want gems. She didn't want dresses. She didn't want popularity. No. Ophelia didn't need anything, all she wanted was Magnus and his love. She made sure that he knew that. She was not marrying him for his name or anything else, she was marrying him because she loved him.

Her first and last lucid request was to leave the Capital. She took his hand, gently kissing the top of it. There was something in her eyes that Magnus could not place and she asked, or rather pleaded if they could leave the Capital.

Magnus knew that Eldrige didn't want him to leave, but he believed that his Emperor would take compassion on him. He had devoted over eighteen years of his life to the throne and now, he wished to spend his remaining days with his wife.
