Bab 23: Chapter 22
"Headmistress, I heard that you summoned my presence. " Artemis said after she entered the room, saluting to the person who's sitting on the swivel and red, velvety chair that facing its back at her.
"Have a seat first and drink. How are you? Your fellow agents?" She was seated on the couch and the lady sitting on the chair snapped her fingers. A cup of strawberry mocha coffee appeared on the top of the table in front of Hera.
"I'm fine, Headmistress. I truly appreciate your concern. Hermes broke his ribcage and his shoulder, he's at the infirmary. Aphrodite has a fracture on both of her arms but one of her arms receives more worst injury. She got it already cast." Artemis takes a sip at the cup before she is placed on the top of the coffee table. The headmistress keeps on looking at the masterpiece in front of her and tapping her fingers at the handrest.
"Hermes told me what the boy said."
"What is it?"
"Tell her that she got a visitor." The headmistress faced her with confusion. "I'm sorry? Did I hear it right?" Artemis bobbed her head before she sipped on her coffee.
"Yes, Madame. The boy said it. Besides," Artemis crossed her legs and leaned back to the backrest. "After we attempt to take the girl away, that boy almost killed two of our agents. Valdez pointed the gun at me too. That girl seems very important to him." The Headmistress nodded her head, wanting to hear more about the two persons that they capture.
But then, she arched her brows, confirming if she heard it right. "Wait, I ordered the five of you to capture someone if you're suspecting him or her to be part of the game." Artemis smiled. "Indeed, Madame. Those two seem like having a big role in the game. Hera and I can't confirm it but we're suspecting them. The other one is named Trance, she's from Priam Videlle's prison section and she's the president. They even got a boy from a family of King's men there." The Headmistress's eyes landed at the female who's sitting elegantly on the couch.
"You send me there to find a student with the potential to be part of Excalibur, so I did. I find one." The Headmistress recalled on her mind what she ordered to Artemis before she giggled. "What great news you got."
"And that one has perfect memory but needs to be trained. Yet, that one seems like has a bit of enigmatic character."
"If it's that so then the one has a big problem in case that's proven. Well, we got a good psychologist here. Bring that one you're saying here as soon as possible, Art." Artemis nodded her head and looked at the Headmistress with amusement and glee held on it, "Regarding that, the person that I've chosen will be here next week."
"Why next week?"
"Because it'll take a long time because that person needs to decide." The Headmistress paused for a while as she positioned both of her elbows against the table and intertwined her hands then leaned her chin on it. "Back to the boy, did he tell you who is he? Did he agree to be part of the organization?" Artemis shook her head.
"No. He said that he told us to take a guess and Trance keeps on insisting that the boy is innocent either. It's been four days but we don't even get a proper answer from them. We even put Trance into another room like what you said but we don't get an answer from her. I think they rather to locked up instead of their designated cell than tell us something about them. The boy assaulted other agents when they tried to interrogate him too."
"Tell me what he does."
"Well, Agent 0021 and Agent 0321 are currently at the brink of death right now after the boy shoots them. Agent 0032 has broken bones while Agent 3276 is...." Artemis clamped her eyes shut before she glided her hand to slice her neck. "Dead?" She nodded and swallowed the lump of uneasiness on her throat.
"After they both went inside. Agent 0075 met the same fate with Keiron the difference is, he got deep claw marks on his face and he got a broken neck. I think he's mad because we forced him to tell who he is. On our way here, he removes the bracelet that is specialized only for the prison class."
"What bracelet?" The headmistress has never been so surprised yet disturbed at the same time before but after she heard Hera's story about the boy, she feels it now. "The bracelet that is only created for the students of prison section. It is created here. It sends electric shock when one of the students went violent, disobeys, and does other kinds of stuff that delinquents do. I've been keeping an eye on them since they'll be part of this organization soon as they graduated."
"It's our policy. We take care of their records and in exchange, they'll work here." The headmistress tapped the fountain pen on her table twice. Minutes of silence have passed before the void popped at the end of the room and the guy stepped out before the hole disappeared.
The guy has a small face like a girl. His lips are pinkish and plumpy. His nose is faultlessly chiseled and effortlessly fits his small face. He possesses emerald green eyes and his eyelashes are long and his brows are not too thick yet not too thin while he got brunette locks. The guy is wearing a black knitted turtleneck and brown denim jacket paired with black jeans and a belt on his waist then a pair of formal shoes. Instead of lessening his being feminine, his clothing hinders his beauty more.
"You called me, Aunt?" He asked while flashing a smile through his face, revealing his pearly white teeth.
"Are you busy today?" The guy shook his head before he was seated beside Hera. "Hey, Art."
"Hey Kai." Artemis greeted him back solemnly.
"Kai, I have a task for you." The Headmistress said before she stood up from her seat. "But we need to get there first, Art, can you transport us there?" Artemis stood up too and pressed the special button on her wristwatch and pointed it in the middle of the room.
"Beast!" The guard cried out hysterically before he stepped away from the room, he almost stumbles on the floor. "You keep a beast here! Monster!" He screamed. Ash and Kai did notice the visible bloodstains on his clothes and a wound on his neck.
"Stay away from him! He'll kill us!" Artemis motioned those guards from the entrance to seize the guard who was hysterically screaming away from them.
"What is happening here?" Kai asked them and Ash pointed out the door where the guard came from. "There's a boy inside." She replied. They both stopped in front of the room that was two doors away before where the guard came from.
"And on this room?"
"A girl, not aggressive as the boy right there but she's somehow become violent and we're finding out why."
The Headmistress opened the door and stepped inside. There's no light inside but the only thing that makes them see inside of the room is the light from outside illuminating and silence made its sovereignty in the atmosphere. This room is different from the first where Trance woke up first.
"If you're going to ask me what the heck am I doing at Felix's house and what's my brother's name, I'm not going to answer your bullshit. Did you get that? Get out now." The girl said while laying down on the bed while her arm is covering her eyes. The headmistress chuckled and walk confidently towards the girl.
"There's no reason for going outside, young lady." She declared. "But I got someone to talk to you." Trance makes her back face the headmistress while Kai steps inside too as the headmistress motion him to.
"His name is Kaizer, he's going to talk to you so you can go return to your home. Trance, if you want to see your brother you can ask Kaizer." Trance didn't bother to waste her energy to face them, instead, she shut her eyes and ignore them. "By the way, you can call me Headmistress Victoria, Headmistress, or Victoria, you can choose what will you call me and where you're comfortable with." Like what she's expecting, Trance didn't respond.
"Can you tell us your name?" Kai asked before he turned on the lights. Trance did hiss and covered her eyes. "Turn the fcking lights off!" Trance exclaimed while still covering her eyes.
"By the way, don't say the word library." Artemis notified while peeking at them. Trance froze and immediately covered her ears. "Go away!" Artemis immediately covered her mouth when reality hits her instead of mouthing it, she said it out loud. Kai immediately turned off the lights while the headmistress tried to make Trance calm.
"Oops, sorry, Trance." Trance glared at her and move away when the headmistress tried to touch her. "Don't touch me too!"
"Alright, she won't. Now, can you do what you always did when you're having a breakdown?" Kai asked her gently as he stopped and seated on another edge of the bed. Trance never stops glaring at him while taking deep breaths. He motioned to the headmistress and Cath to go outside now. After confirming that Trance is finally calm, they bid her goodbye and apologize for saying the word. The Headmistress and Cath went back to her office.
Minutes of silence, Kai looked at Trance again and give her a bright smile. "Can you tell me your name?" Although the female never stop on glaring at him, Kai remained the same. The only light to make both of them see through the darkness is the nightlight place next to the door.
"Don't worry, this is not part of the interrogation. I'm here to help you." He glanced at the female who was crouching at the edge. "Oh, I forgot! My name is Kaizer Lawrence Cirillo, I'm a Greek. And you are?"
"Trance Miyazaki." His smile widened after he heard her speak. "Nice name and I know someone with the same eye color as you." Trance moves away again and ignores him.
"Come on! I know Felix Valdez."
"I don't care, that twisted dude claiming me. I prefer to die in drastic death rather than see him."
"He's what?"
"Claiming me as his. He's an insane shit guy. He hugged me one time so I let him taste his medicine. That crazy fuck did another form of showing affection to me. He pointed a knife at me when he fought. If it's not because of my classmates and friends I won't do that."
"I see, so you prefer to stay here? What about your family?" He asked while looking at the pillow.
"What about mind your own business, psychologist?" He's shocked after Trance said that. No one can figure out what's his job is but Trance did. When he's on his work, he completely forgets formalities and his being professional so he can communicate with his patients well. Kaizer faced her again and amusement is held on it. It's a challenge.
"How can you say that?"
"If they can't take answers from me by using their agents, what would be their option? Hire someone like you. Next time tell them that if they send a psychologist next time, make sure that I won't figure out." Trance said while looking at him. "My brother in the other room might break your bone or kill you if he gets pissed. Careful okay? Even me can't calm him down and I can't help you."
