Immediately after getting in, Alaina's eyes were stuck in the direction of the woods on her right. He told her to wait for him after getting in the car. he told her to wait for him so that would only mean he believed that he would come back, he believed that he could save himself from the beast.
If he believed that than she will too.
She will not let go of hope. If Ivar had hope that he could survive this, then so will she.
But then he also told her to drive away if someone else or something else broke out of the trees.
What did he mean; who else is out there that could be more dangerous than the grizzly bear they just encountered? He must have been talking about the bear.
Her eyes trained on the trees moving right to left, trying to see any and all movement, any sign of him. Should she go out and look for him?
Maybe he needs her help.
Instinctually, Alaina jumped out the car but halted on her feet just outside her door.
