"Have fun calling with no reception." There was a scoff in his voice. He was enjoying his time and that's all.

Alaina knew better to not just take his words for it and checked for herself. Indeed there was no cell reception. 

Of course! It's because of the storm. So he knew that, he was only refusing to call earlier only to rile her up!? Why must he be such a jerk all the time!

"Aghh c'mon!" Alaina loudly growled, absolutely not giving a tiniest care that his phone was soaking under the rain with her.

"You're lucky my phone is water proof." He backed away from the door only a little and she didn't know if that was him inviting her in what. But Alaina did take a step ahead only to stand directly over on the threshold just so she could escape having heavy rain drops constantly hit her on top of her skull; it was beginning to throb as well.
