Bab 32: Chapter 32 Denouement

"You have an hour to kill Michael Anderson, or I shoot your daughter in the head."

Dominic hung up the phone abruptly and smashed it against the wall, breaking it into a thousand pieces. He was making sure the call wouldn't be traced.

There was silence.

Deafening silence.

No one said a word, no one needed to speak.

The seconds ticked by, it felt as if the air was slowly being sucked out of the room, making it difficult to breathe with every passing minute.

My eyes drifted back to Will, just looking at him made my heart ache. He looked utterly broken.

"Why?" I asked quietly, my question was trained at Dominic.
