Bab 194: Not the Enemy

Larkin's maniacal gaze vanished as soon as his silver eyes landed on his wife. As opposed to a deranged man, he was more of an excited child now. He kept his composure, but his eyes couldn't lie. There was no smile of anticipation on his lips, but the silence she gave him was dulling the childish sparkle in those silver eyes. Perhaps… that was too enthusiastic of him?

"Ah, no, sorry, I just thought you were so cute just now..." Artie made an excuse, but that wasn't really an excuse. If Larkin was not prone to corruption and he did that, Artie would have squealed as if he was a puppy greeting her at the door, with a wee wagging tail. "Alright, just don't push yourself. It might go out of your control."
