Bab 47: Dinner at her house - 4

"Sorry, it was a close friend of mine. So the call took a bit long. Are you guys hungry?" Benjamin asked as he walked out of his room, but his eyes opened wide, seeing a blood-soaked towel and first aid box on the kitchen counter.

"What happened? Did you get hurt, Morpheous?" And he rushed towards his side. The adhesive patch was a clear sign of injury.

"It's nothing. Just a small cut!"

"How is it nothing? So much blood on the towel… Oh, God!!" And in the next second, he was appalled to see the drops of blood on the white marble floor.

"How did it happen, Caroline?" He asked, looking at her.

"It was my …."

"Actually, the knife just slipped. Butterfingers!" Morpheous intervened and rippled his fingers in the air, and smiled before she could even take the blame on herself.

'Why would he do that?' She wondered.
