Bab 64: WALKING SHADOWS

The chaotic scenario oppressed and diminished it in the way that few scenarios throughout its history have done. Josephus, a living witness, albeit a very small one at the time, of the holocaust, and his family helped to protect and hide many Jews from persecution and hunting of the Nazis in England. And even in that time of terror and fear and being so young, at 9 years old, he did not weigh his soul and the nauseating bitterness of now did not descend to his stomach. The piles and piles of shattered bodies and the high flames, whose purpose was to lessen the intolerably putrid stench, caused the horror and strangeness of being in a Lovecraftian world and choked him to the point that he wished he were dead.
