Bab 16: Chapter 15
Female Mystery person~~
“Are you sure about that, I mean isn't that going too far? What if her mom was still up?” He said while looking through the window at Eva's house.
“Who said anything about going too far? I'm just gonna give her a little scare which is gonna freak her out” I replied with a ferocious smile.
I knew Eva wouldn't be at home deeming the surprise note she obtained from me indirectly a few hours ago. I comprehended she would go seeking counselling from Scarlet knowing she can't handle this all by herself now. Recalling her to act all brave and arduous for people to see but when trouble blooms, she tries to find confederates. I rolled my eyes just thinking about how insensitive she can be.
“How are we gonna get in, ?” he asked a little uneasy snapping me back to the present. Occasionally I wonder why he chickens out seeing as he gave rise to all this plan in the first place.
I shrugged “I came prepared, you know what? Why don't you go and check what they are up to?” I said to him. I planned to enter Eva's room and smash a few things and do some little destruction here and there to her favorite merchandises.
He stared at me in doubt. I sighed bluntly.
“I'm not gonna hurt her in case she wakes up and discovers me, don't worry,” I said rolling my eyes. I loved him, but he can get soo bothering sometimes… “ Fine, but promise me you won't do anything I wouldn't approve of if leave” he gazed at me with skepticism.
“Fine! I promise! Is that good enough, or you want the pinky swear? “ I said with a sarcasm laced through my words.
He chortled at my sarcastic comment, then hugged me and left. I snickered to myself like a vicious demon which of cause I was not, I just had to do it to make me feel like a villain. I brought out the clasp I planned on using to unlock the door. I brought it close to my eyes and smiled yet again.
I infiltrated it through the locks and in a few seconds, voilà, it was unlocked. I felt a thrill within me and I peeked behind me for any sign of someone but the place was pitch dark. I crept inside quietly and shut the door behind me, slithering with every step I took.
There was still no noise or movement from any part of the house. Well, I knew her dad wasn't at home and that he was on one of his numerous trips and her mom must be slumbering by now. I found out about all this while doing my analysis on them.
I saw the couch right in front of me and I kinda got uneasy, but that didn't stop me from going on with my plan though.
I walked past the couch to the direction of Eva's room and just as I made my first step on the stairs, I glimpsed a hand from the couch barely touching the ground as if unconscious. I went a little closer to get a peek at the person and I noticed Mrs Anderson fast asleep on the couch.
“I need to hurry up with my mission and leave” I reckoned to myself and turned away. My eyes twinkled as an idea suddenly came to mind. I smiled to myself and took my phone out. It wasn't my actual phone, just a spare I had, for my little private activities. I took a picture of Mrs Anderson lying there and smiled to myself as I pressed the send button.
“ I think this will do just fine!” I said to myself and went out as quietly as a came in.
Mystery guy POV~~
After assuring me she wouldn't do anything out of line, I left her to do what she intended on doing. I didn't think it was a good idea to enter Eva's room and incite destruction, not that I didn't want her to, I just didn't want her to be caught and jeopardize everything, but according to her, I'm not up for this whole thing.
I made my way to Scarlet's house where Eva is going. I got there and hid at a far end where I could see everything they did. I looked through the window and what I saw was more than intriguing, it was the whole group. Every single one of them was there. They looked uneasy, and it looked like they were examining the note Eva obtained, but suddenly, I saw Ian got up and pointed his thumbs in the direction of the door while talking. I arched my brow curious of what he was asserting and looked over at Scarlet as she also got up. I assumed they were about to leave. I took out a phone from my pocket and sent the same message multi times to each of them. I wasn't ready to allow them leave just yet. I looked up from my phone and I saw the terrified look on their faces, how I love that look. I sprinted to the powerhouse of the building and switched off the power switch, suddenly, everything went dark and silent.
Scarlet's POV
BUZZ...BUZZ Z...BUZZ
The sound of my alarm rang noisily in my ears. “Mm mm,” I mumbled still not get enough of my beauty sleep. “ Humph” I mumbled, suddenly remembering it's a Monday!. I hated Mondays, it's the worst day of the week in my freaky life and considering the mess in my current life, I just wanted to sleep all day in my bed.
I laid there looking at the triangle-shaped decoration on the ceiling deep in thought.
The buzzing sound of my phone snaps me back to the present. I strained my arms and reached out for the phone. My face became red and a smile crept its way on my lips twitching by the edges of my mouth. My stomach made a twinge and I felt apprehensive just seeing his name. I looked in a mirror affixed to my closet and God!!! I looked awful. I pulled my hair lightly in regret as I kept peering at Lucas's incoming video call. Yep, since the day he treated me to breakfast, we got close and hanged out whenever Selena was not around, and my feelings for him kept evolving, and now here I am, unable to answer a video call from him because I felt I had an awful morning look. Not that I'm bad looking, just a normal average teenager but this particular morning I didn't look good to myself. I sighed and declined the call in disappointment slipping the phone back on the table. Just when I got up to go and shower, I heard it buzz again. I hit my bed in regret repeatedly wishing I had taken my shower earlier. “Wait...” it's not a video call this time, I smiled cheekily when I noticed it was a voice call. “Aw, look at how considerate he is” I awed. I answered it and OMG that voice I have come to get used to hitting my ears.
“I didn't wake you up, did I? His husky voice came through.
I took a deep breath in the other to act calm like always. I may have a crush on him, but he doesn't have to know about it, at least not yet.
“Nope, I was already up actually” I replied keeping my cool.
“Just called to say good morning and ask how your night was,” he said low tone, making my stomach twitch again.
“Well, I wouldn't say it was bad, I mean I slept like a baby” I cringed at my cheesy text the moment I pressed the send button.
“God I'm such a freak!”...
Another message came through, and I looked it up instantly, anticipating what the reply will be.
“Cute(^^)”
Now I'm gonna be awkward around him the whole of today. I hit my forehead slightly.
I dropped the phone and entered the shower grinning like a little girl who had ice cream with a cherry to top it.
