Bab 7: Part 7 – My Sweet Little Angel

Prologue

Darkness. Darkness was everywhere. Night consumed the day and moon shined in the starless sky. From the silhouette of shrubs, a family ran towards the nothingness. The father carried his son in his arms; mother carried her daughter in her arms. They ran and ran. They don’t know where they were going, but they ran to a place illuminated by the moon light. In fact moon illuminated all the places under it.

Sweat prickled from the mother’s and father’s brow. Their shirts were drenched in sweat. They were running for a long time now, but they were not stopping anywhere. There was only barren wasteland in front of them. Occasionally they saw one or two shrubs growing here and there.

A moan came from behind them. A sharp moan. The moan of an ugly thing. Father and mother were in fact running from these moans. They need to protect their children from these moaning things, whatever they were.
