Bab 81: Ch.81 Fantastic Newt, & where to Find her
As they broke thru the thick clouds surrounding the planet, Ferro manuver the dropship towards the colony, "Locked on to Seven-Zero-Niner! Where is that daymn beacon?! Oh! I see it!"
Soon the large Terraforming complex could be seen in the monitors.
"Welcome, to Hadley's Hope Boys!" said Ferro on the comms.
Lt.Gorman on the command chair looked thru his monitors, tryin to make out the colony's situation.
"Ok, Ferro take us in low on top of the main colony complex."
Upon observing the outer structure of the complex, he said,"Storm shutters are sealed, there's no visible
activity. Alright! hold it 40. And give me a slow circle around the complex."
Ferro did a sweep of the outer rims of the complex in a slow pace.
Ripley also looking at the monitor said,"The structure seems in tact."
Hearing this the Lt. said, "Alright! everythings seems to be clear! Take us down the south section, Ferro."
Mean while in the carrier...
"Alright people! look alive! gear up! 2 minutes people! and somebody wake up Hicks..."
Ripley took the chance to look at the monitor, and asked burke "That's the atmosphere processor?"
"Yup that's it, remarkable piece of machinery, completely automated. You know, we manufacture those by the way." said Burke which only earn him a stare from Ripley.
By this time Ferro's voice came thru the comms again.
"And touch down, Ready to deploy carrier on your orders Lt."
"Ok, Bishop take us near the south entrance."
Bishop responded with," Roger that!"
The carrier left the dropship's cargo hold, and moved toward the south section entrance of the colony.
"Ok, Marines! prepare to land your boots on the ground. I want a tight formation! Were on hostile territory now."
When the carrier stopped a couple of meters from the entrance to the colony. Lt.Gorman gave the orders to move out.
"Well, you heard the man. Move out!"
The colonial marines each got out of the carrier, Kris, and ChengXiao follow as well. Keeping close to the squad.
Zheng, and Tengyi who clearly have no experience in this kind of thing just copied what the others did.
When they joined the rest they were hiding behind a bunch of tall crates.
The Sgt. surveyed the area, when it was clear he ask for more orders from the Lt.
Which he got right away,"Take a squad, and move forward.
Sgt.Apone then barked his orders.
Vasquez took point followed by Hudson, Frost and Kris.
When they reached the doors, the Sgt ask Kris to open the locked doors.
Kris by passed the locking mechanisms, and the doors opened. Still keeping in formation they went in Vasquez still on point. But was now followed by Frost who was carrying the life signs detector.
When they were all in Hicks in command of Zheng, and the others followed in.
In the carrier...
Burke said,"There was supposed to be 158 people here. Where did they all go?"
Back in the colony complex both squads did a clean sweep, yet they did not find a soul.
What they found was a sign of a battle, corridors that was barricaded, and some holes on the hallways that was burned by acid.
Not long after, an all clear was given, The Lt., Burke and Ripley entered the colony complex as well.
Hudson was ordered to check the colony's database for any clues on the whereabouts of the colonists.
While the rest go thru some of the things that were scattered around the place.
Kris followed Ripley as she found her way into the lab. Where the face huggers, were kept in containment to be studied.
Like in the movie there were still two the creatures alive.
When Hicks walked he was followed by Burke. Who was already seeing dollar signs, upon spoting the alien.
When Burke got near the facehugger lunged at him, but since it was kept inside a thick glass container. He only got a scare out the experience.
Everyone started laughing at his reaction, Hicks even said,"I think it likes you Burke."
Burke was too busy being embarrassed to reply.
Frost took this time to inform everyone, that he found a life sign near there area.
All of then suddenly put on a serious face, as they move out and close in on the life sign detected.
When they moved to the hallway, they almost shot this little girl that dropped out of nowhere. Startling the sh*t out of them.
Hicks tried to grab the girl, but it was Ripley who finally catches her, after giving her a hug to come her down.
The 4 players looked at each other, now that both of their mission objective is within sight. They have to make sure that they both stay safe or major consequences will be fall their team.
Like in the movie, the events fall in line up until Hudson told everyone that he have found the missing colonists. They were located in the basement section of the main terraforming facility.
What seemed to be a dozen colonist are shown on screen, somehow huddled together as per the locator implants shows.
Everyone moved out of the complex, proceeded towards the carrier now with the newly found Newt.
J squad was ask to stay with the dropship and secure the perimeter, When Zheng was about to talk his way into the away team.
Kris put a hand on his shoulder, and said remember this is still the marines. Here insubordination may cause our death. Wait when the aliens come, we will have our chance to act as we please by then.
Zheng was worried about Ripley, and Newt's safety.
But, then he remembered. God has been acting weird since they entered the movie, they weren't given time to orient the newbies, and the more flavored background of the players.
'Things are getting more complicated' thought Zheng
Only if he knew, what Kris found out in Final Destination 2. Death acting like an antivirus to wipe out the descendants of a player. Resetting Movie worlds. Creating multiple versions of the same movie dimension. There are alot of things going on with God that they know nothing about.
Kris saluted at the Lieutenant's orders, Zheng also copied this as well putting his thoughts for later.
They paired up, and started guarding the dropship. The only once left in this sector was Kris, Zheng, Tengyi, Cheng Xiao, Ferro, Spunkmeyer, and the android Bishop.
Who was still studying the face hugger, in the lab.
Not a while later, the ramp of the dropship opened, and Spunkmeyer came out pushing a cart of what seemed to be containers.
"Lt. wanted this to be delivered to Bishop in the labs to preserve the evidence."
Zheng, and ChenXiao voluntiered to accompany him into the complex.
Leaving only Kris, and Tengyi. Just a couple of minutes later Kris felt several creatures trying to flank, and surround them.
Kris talked thru his comms, "Ferro you should shut the ramp now, we seemed to have company. I detect multiple life signs. They might be hostile"
He then called out to Tengyi,"They are here! We are surrounded, be ready to go under ground and support me."
Kris shouldered his pulse rifle, and aimed at the direction he felt the intimidating pressure was coming from.
Soon 3 Xenomorph Drone came out of the shadows, stalking towards the dropship.
"Well, Here we go!" said Kris with a feral grin.
