Bab 19: Hello

Class 21 was situated at the corner of level 6, so it did not enjoy a lot of sunlight.
The bell had rung long ago, yet nobody was studying inside the classroom. Everyone was doing their own thing. A male student in the last row was holding his phone as he shouted, "What the hell are you doing, Yu Fei!? Even a chicken can control the hero better by scattering rice on the keyboard!
"Is your mother playing on the team? Then why don't you push forward?!
"Can you please stop taking naps in the valley and try to be of some help?"
Fu Zhi stopped. When Ma Mingquan realized it, he let out a chuckle as he caressed the thermos bottle in his hand. "This is just his hometown dialect. Don't fret, none of them means any harm!"
Fu Zhi did not know what to say.
Ma Mingquan gave her an assuring gaze and then moved to the podium. "Alright, class, go back to your seats and settle down. We're going to start our lesson soon. But before that happens, I have an announcement to make!"
Nobody listened.
However, Ma Mingquan was not affected. "We have a new student this semester. You guys understand, right? This means that—"
The male student sitting in the back row slapped his cell phone against the table, "Yu Fei! Is it so hard for you to use your f*cking pea-sized brain and think about what I have just said? Is there a Himalayan mountain inside the hole in your brain?!"
Ma Mingquan raised his voice in an attempt to overshadow his student's voice. "I said, this means that we are going to have new blood joining our big family! I—"
History always repeated itself in an amazing way. The male student was obviously pissed off. "Is your brain made of cement and rebar? Did you grow a f*cking brain just so that you could become 180 centimeters tall?!"
Ma Mingquan looked in embarrassment at Fu Zhi.
Fu Zhi kept her head low, using her remaining goodness and conscience to avoid Ma Mingquan's gaze.
Ma Mingquan let out a fake laugh and added, "Alright, let's give a round of applause to welcome our new student!"
Only one or two students clapped their hands, while the rest just ignored him.
It was only at that moment that Fu Zhi finally stepped into the classroom.
She held her bag with one hand. Since she had not received the school uniform yet, she was wearing her own clothes, which accentuated the length of her legs.
The class suddenly fell silent.
Ma Mingquan let out a relieved sigh.
'See, I told you they were afraid of me!'
The rain stopped and the sky cleared. A sense of pride filled Ma Mingquan again as he said, "Introduce yourself first."
Everyone in the class zeroed in on Fu Zhi.
"My name is Fu Zhi. I'm very happy to be your classmate." Fu Zhi stood upright beside the podium. She bowed before them, and her hair slid past her fair cheek.
She put both her hands beside her legs, and her bag, which was white in color, was swaying slightly in the air. She kept her eyes low and she looked as adorable and obedient as an elementary student.
The sun filtered through the window and fell on her. She held herself erect, and her braid, which had been made by Xu Wei, was dangling beside her neck.
Everyone in Class 21 fell completely silent, and their breathing had grown fainter.
"Erm… That's all?"
Ma Mingquan kept winking at Fu Zhi.
Fu Zhi thought for a while and added softly, "Nice to meet you."
After a few seconds, somebody chuckled and the silence was shattered. The voice then said with a drawl, "Nice to meet you too, little fellow."
Ma Mingquan pointed at an empty seat and said, "You can sit beside Su Xing. If there's anything that you don't understand, you can ask her."
The girl was stunned for a moment, but she soon lowered her head. She did not raise her head even after Fu Zhi took the seat next to her.
