As it slowly became noon, the hallways became more populated. Albert could occasionally meet other students in the hallway or hallway. It could only be said that it was the nature of most people to stay in bed, especially on weekends. Most people preferred to sleep longer when they didn't need to get up early.
The light rain was still present outside the castle. Most of the students stayed in the great hall to chat, and there were a handful of hapless ones who did not finish their homework in time and were busy copying their summer homework.
The Weasley twins and Lee couldn't wait and took the lead in exploring the castle.
Albert spent the whole morning strolling around the huge castle and took a lot of interesting photos with his camera. After walking around, when he returned to the great hall, he felt a dull pain in his calf.
The harvest of this trip was quite good. Albert used his memory to draw a rough map of the castle.
Although he heard other people say that the position of some stairs in Hogwarts Castle would change every Friday, next Friday was a week away. Albert didn't take it to heart, and he would think about it then.
It was worth mentioning that the task progress of exploring Hogwarts Castle had reached 26.7%.
"Why are you the only one, how about your friends?" Angelina and Alicia came to this side, sat on the chair opposite Albert, and greeted Albert.
"While walking around the castle, we separated halfway." Albert picked up a slice of bread from the plate, and he was going to make a sandwich for himself. "Those three guys probably found something interesting. Pass me the blueberry sauce, thank you."
"How is the map of your castle, can you lend me a look?" Angelina pushed the bottle of blueberry sauce over on her right and pointed her finger at the parchment on Albert's left.
"I still think you should go around the castle by yourself. This is one of the joys of the first years." Albert handed the parchment to Angelina and grabbed the bottle of blueberry sauce.
"What's that?" Alicia leaned her head over, staring at the simple sketch, frowning slightly. She was struggling to understand most of the castle on the map, but she could also see some signs of secret passages and classrooms, where the stairs had to be crossed.
"By the way, this is our timetable." Albert copied two more timetables and handed them to the two opposite people.
"What kind of magic is that?" Angelina asked curiously.
"Copying spell, you can turn one item into two." Alicia, who was born into a wizard's family, recognized the spell used by Albert in a glance.
Not all wizard families adopted a policy like the Weasleys. Alicia had been educated to be a good wizard since she was a child, starting from a higher level than most students.
"A very useful trick, isn't it?" Albert blinked at the two of them and continued, "With it, you don't need to take notes, just ask someone to "borrow" a copy."
Alicia looked at Albert with weird eyes, feeling that his thinking logic was different from others.
"Can you get a copy of the map for me? So I don't need to worry about finding a place in the classroom."
"Are you not worried about the accuracy of the map?" Albert asked rhetorically.
"Of course I will confirm it myself," Alicia said naturally.
"Do you want it?" Albert looked at Angelina.
"Thank you," Angelina said with a smile.
Hogwarts Castle was indeed not small, new students easily lost their way. With Albert's map, at least they would know where to go.
Being late on the first day of school was not a good sign.
"By the way, I remember that you seem to come from a Muggle family." Alicia put away the map and asked, "How can you master so many spells? I dare say that most of the new students don't understand the spells that you can do."
"I learned it while practising the spell before school started, most of the spells are fairly simple." Albert spread blueberry sauce on the slice of bread and took a big bite. Although it tasted good, it was a bit unbearable to eat them all day long.
"Simple?" The two looked at each other and suddenly felt an inexplicable pressure.
After getting their own magic wand, most first years would try to use the magic in the books. Angelina and Alicia were naturally no exception. They had learned some simple magic, but they were by no means as light as Albert said.
After eating the slice of bread covered with blueberry jam, Albert made himself a sandwich.
British lunches were always unsatisfactory, and Hogwarts was no exception. Bread and potatoes were the staple food here.
This lunch had bread slices, boiled potatoes, fresh vegetable salad, and salted ham. Of course, a large pot of milk tea or pumpkin juice was also available.
After Albert finished the ham sandwich, he put two more potatoes with skins on his plate. After wandering in the castle for a morning, his stomach was carving for food.
"I really miss rice and pasta," Albert muttered in a low voice and continued to eat the potatoes with the skin on the plate.
Potatoes were one of the staple foods of the British. He had eaten them almost every day in these years. People in this country could use potatoes to make a hundred dishes without repetition.
Although potatoes were not unpalatable, it was a bit unbearable to eat them every meal.
"Spaghetti is delicious." Angelina agreed, "I have eaten it several times, and it tastes very nice."
"British cuisine is always disappointing, and the variety is not good. The chefs here never seriously study how to cook." Albert poured himself a cup of milk tea, took a sip, and said, "I remember I had eaten a plate of whole fish roasted in a sea salt herb crust a while ago."
The two looked at each other and listened with interest to Albert complaining about all sorts of exotic foods in Britain, such as his father's favourite French fries sandwiches, and the family only had marmite that his grandmother liked...
Albert still remembers the first time he tasted marmite, it was... the taste of hell, that taste was truly unforgettable for a lifetime.
If you insisted on describing it, it should be a strong soy sauce mixed with various body odours.
Since then, Albert has stayed away from marmite.
"If any of you are interested, at Christmas, I will ask her to send a bottle as a Christmas gift."
"Cough cough." Alia suddenly lost her appetite, "No, thank you, I still want to eat some normal food so that I don't get sick after seeing jam."
After drinking milk tea, lunch is over.
Albert sat at the dining table and looked at the photos he had previously taken. There were knight armours, castle scenery, a portrait, and an exaggerated sculpture... These photos revealed a corner of Hogwarts.
But, seeing Albert choosing photos, Angelina wanted to complain. This guy was not a student who came to school at all. He was more like a tourist who came to visit Hogwarts Castle.
