Bab 283: Suspicious Activity At Ruthmore's

The next day Lucian again left for some business.

Four days passed and Katie kept her usual schedule of working at Ruthmore manor.

It was a usual day at Rathmore manor and Katie was immersed in her work.

She had promised Clumsy that she would return home early and spend some time with him since Lucian wasn't at home. For Katie Clumsy was still a little boy and she didn't feel much at ease leaving him alone at home all the time, especially at night in a house where even adults would be scared to live alone.

Katie wrapped up her work early so she could go back early but unexpectedly around evening the sky started to turn dark and soon it was raining hard.

She had come to work walking and there was no way she could go back now.

Lady Liliana ordered every servant to stay at the manor for the night and asked the butler to make arrangements.

Katie couldn't ask lady Liliana to lend her carriage so she has to stay for the night.
