Bab 149: Make It Right

The elevator doors opened, and for a second I thought it was her. I turned around as Mei Lin peeked around the corner.

"Hey, where's Wen Wen?"

"She's not here," I grumbled.

"What happened this time?" she asked.

I got up from the barstool and turned to her.

"I'll tell you what happened. Your best friend doesn't believe I love her, and she thinks I'm only with her out of guilt. Do you f**king believe that? After everything I've done for her and everything I've said to her, she has the nerve to doubt my love!" I yelled.

"Ohhh. Wait, wait, calm down, and don't yell at me, Mu Kai," she said as she put both hands up.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell. It's not your fault, and I'm sorry that I'm taking it out on you."

She walked over, gave me a hug, and then looked at me.
