Chapter 350
Kyle was on the ground, cold, lifeless, and his heart was not beating at all, because he lost it. The hole in his chest was squirting blood out of his system. His eyes lost their colors and he was staring somewhere far away.
Flashes of memories reminded him of the past before he died. Kyle recalled his wife and his son. Celine and his son were having fun on the playground building sandcastle while he was watching them. It was a memorable experience and Kyle couldn't erase that memory even after he regressed. However, that memory was covered with another scene.
Kyle's mind brought him to the time when he was staying in Miriam's mansion. Miriam was carrying Lemar while they were watching him training. It was one of kind experience.
Kyle died with a smile on his face. He knew that he didn't finish his mission, he knew that very well. To be honest, he understood that he would die just like this. However, Kyle was happy that he had Miriam and Lemar in this lifetime, he didn't regret it.
Since he was going to die anyway, he wanted to die while remembering them, his family. It was selfish but this was his first time being selfish. Most of the time, he would act based on the betterment of the world. It was funny but most of the bad things that he did were all for the world.
Only a second passed but Kyle recalled his life. His team, the others. His guild, the Redemption. He recalled them so well.
But then, before he lost his breath, Kyle remembered Mikael who was in the Hidden Dungeon. Kyle smiled, just like that certain times when Mikael baited the Minotaur, angered the Basilisk, escaped the Hydra, and killed the Bone Dragon. Mikael's image was always filled with greatness, despite being hurt the most, Mikael didn't stop moving on.
"… I will leave the rest to you."
September 18, 2030. Kyle Rockwell, the Guild Leader of Redemption died.
...…
...
…
Miriam swallowed her sobbing. It hurts her so much to see Kyle being lifeless. She tried her best to reach him but the crimson chains were stopping her.
Her tears didn't stop flowing as she crawled on the bloodied ground just to reach him. Yet even that action was impossible.
Miriam lost her interest in Elizabeth, she just wanted to stay with Kyle. That's all she wanted.
She couldn't speak a word, perhaps the idea of speaking disappeared in her thoughts. Her mind was occupied by one thing, Kyle Rockwell.
She was gritting her teeth as she did her best to break the chains one by one. Her very image as of right now was crazy. Her usual elegance was nowhere to be found. Right now, she was not Miriam of the Eye, she was Miriam Poloma. The woman who fell in love with a bastard named Kyle Rockwell.
"Aww, how sweet. Even on your deathbed, you're still thinking of him. How wonderful it is, love that is."
Elizabeth said while having the widest grin of all time. She loved what she was seeing, she broke Miriam down to her core. Elizabeth was truly a despicable person.
She destroyed them solely for the purpose of revenge and entertainment. If Elizabeth knew the device called camera, perhaps she already recorded this very moment. She wanted to watch this scene whenever she was bored.
"Hehe, you don't have to worry Miriam, because I will kill you too. At least you will see this guy again. I'm not that bad right?"
Miriam didn't listen to what she said, her eyes were staring at Kyle. Nothing was entering her mind right now, except to touch him again. That's the only thing she wanted to do.
Elizabeth's eyes glowed and she decided to kill Miriam. Now that she was getting tired of tormenting her, it should be the time to end this.
However, just as her crimson eyes glowered, a bird-like flame made its entrance to attack her. Of course, Elizabeth easily dodged the flame.
"I see, so you decided to show yourself, fire controller woman. I thought you ran away because you left your friend."
Ai Biyu showed up, she was mad that Elizabeth was making fun of Lee Hal-Sung's sacrifice. Ai Biyu was not that stupid. She knew what Lee Hal-Sung did.
"Hm, you're stupid for showing yourself. Don't you know that?"
Elizabeth scoffed. Then she activated her Skill.
"No, I'm not stupid. While on the way here, I found her."
"Her?" Elizabeth's eyes widened. She recalled that unknown woman. "You mean--"
"Yeah, she's talking about me."
Niña appeared behind her, Elizabeth tried to attack her but Niña was faster. She stabbed her back and Elizabeth groaned. Then, when she turned around she found that Niña was missing… Or to be exact, everything was missing.
"Huh?"
Elizabeth tilted her head. She was in an unknown place with nothing but an endless void.
"Where am I?"
She was confused. She was on the battlefield a few seconds ago. Yet now, she stumbled into this unknown void-like territory.
"This is a Skill, huh."
Elizabeth easily caught what was going on.
"You are right. This is my Skill."
A voice echoed and Elizabeth was trying her best to find her.
"Do you believe in multiple dimensions? The multiverse theory? If you watched MCU, maybe you will know it."
The woman said and Elizabeth raised her defense. She could feel that the Skill was forced and it was not polished well. As if Niña just successfully acquired the Skill right now.
"This is the Skill that I'm trying to accomplish. We are not on Earth right now. This is different. Let's say that we are in the middle of reality and distortion. The boundary between truth and lies. "
When Niña witness how Yukki froze the time, Niña felt like she had to step up the game. Her power had taken the path of stealth and Niña didn't know what direction she would take after that.
So she obtained this Skill, this was a Skill where her presence would "truly" disappear because she traveled to another dimension. She could take her enemy into this dimension by stabbing her. The best way to kill Elizabeth was by rendering her eyes and this place was the best place to do that.
Niña grinned in the darkness. Truth be told, she didn't know if she could hold this Skill for a little longer. This was her first time succeeding. However, she had to maintain the Skill so that Miriam and Ai Biyu had the time to escape.
