After the training was done the group headed to the Pokemon center located close to the mountain range. Ash went to file a report and get an arrest warrant ready. It would take time but with Nurse Joy's help and the records Pokemon centers kept, it was easier. Though Ash would have to wait for Officer Jenny to arrive as she would be the one escorting Cross away. Max was helping Charmender stay calm while Nurse Joy checked her health, according to Nurse Joy, Brock and Sorrel had done great jobs.
Brock was beaming at the praise and went to call Yellow to tell her about it, it would be late evening in Kanto. Hopefully, she had a break from her work now and they could talk for a little while. Ash went to meet Officer Jenny who had reached the Pokemon center after a few hours and spoke to her while presenting her the proof. Officer Jenny went through the records and talked to Nurse Joy, Brock and Sorrel then went to arrest Cross.
Ash sighed, "Well I'm glad that is over."
Max, "Thank you for your help everyone."
Brock, "Don't worry about it."
Casey though was frowning, 'It is over but I didn't like how Cross was glaring at Max.'
Verity, "You know we are always here to help."
Sorrel, "Yeah."
Gou, "Come on! Finish your dinner. It's getting late."
Brock turned to the Charmender, "You too, little lady. Eat up!"
Charmender grinned happily and dug into her food with gusto. Ash's Charizard and his new mate would be coming the next day to meet the young Charmender. When Charizard and his mate a Charizard with normal colour landed Ash introduced the little one to the both of them. Charizard rumbled soothingly and his mate cooed at the adorable little one and took her to talk privately. Ash smiled and took Max so the fire types could talk a bit, knowing Charizard he and his mate would no doubt keep visiting them just to ensure the little Charmender was doing well.
Max, "I hope Charmender will be alright."
Ash, "Don't worry, Charizard is a Champion level Pokemon and his mate is the leader of her siblings. Also her siblings who are older and stronger then her are no slouches either."
Sorrel, "I can see that, those scars on both of them."
Brock smirked, "Proud badges from their high level battles."
Gou, "Silver says his Pokemon enjoy battling Charizard a lot."
Casey, "No kidding! I am just happy they are healthy. I saw Charizard's case on the tele."
Sorrel, "Hey let's not let something like that bring us down yeah? Brock and I will be by the Pokemon center helping Nurse Joy and Nurse Jim. If you guys need anything just get to the centre or call."
Ash, "Sure! Now come on Max, I have been planning on teaching Heracross as well as your Ralts sleep talk. It will be useful against other Pokemon who know sleep moves."
Max snickered, "Not to forget your habit of using yawn."
Ash chuckled while the others laughed remembering how Ash would spam sleep moves during training. Casey and Verity would get very frustrated when that happened and had decided to teach their Pokemon sleep talk which Ash thought was a good idea. So they decided to figure out which Pokemon would be suited to learn sleep talk and decided the Pokemon who had not yet mastered agility would be best starting place. As they were training they were joined by Charmender and the Charizards and Max noticed Charmender looked more relaxed.
Max, "Hey there pretty girl. Feel better?"
Charmender cheered, "Char!"
Ash chuckled, "Want to train?"
Charizard, -Anytime partner.-
Lucario, -Been a while since we trained together.-
They trained till lunch time when the girls and Gou joined them by the river side they had found a day earlier. The dark skinned teen was babbling about seeing Entei which gave Ash pause and frowned. The last encounter was not exactly great so to speak and the two girls gave nervous laughs. Gou was in no better condition considering he was freaking out about seeing Entei. Looks like none of them were ready for a second encounter with the Fire Legendary yet but they wouldn't have much choice in the matter.
Max was looking around nervously, "They won't try and kidnap one of us again, right?"
Ash, "No, I have a feeling that this one is different. But they are still a force of nature so we must deal with them cautiously if we run into them."
Charizard snarled, -He won't touch anyone.-
Charizard's mate nodded, "Zarrrrrrr!"
Ash, 'I should probably name them, or maybe they already have names.'
Casey, "Well I'm sure we'll be okay. I mean we aren't going in search of them right?"
Ash, "I'll make us some tea to calm us all down."
Brock joined them as the kettle gave a whistle, "Guys have you heard?"
Gou, "I saw Entei."
Sorrel, "That! Well, I think this is a sign we should move along now."
Ash, "We'll move once we got our bearings together. Grab a cup everyone, no one is going anywhere shaking like that."
Max, "Is this?"
Casey, "Mandragossa. Calming tea."
Ash, "Yeah, the Eevee sisters taught me how to make it. Pretty useful, though it's not something I would get everyday. Just one packet was costly."
Brock and Sorrel accepted their cups and the group started to calm down a bit and started to chat about the closest town. Casey then mentioned the next town was the main town on the mountain range and had a large battle area. Max got interested and they decided to drop by the town to check it out a bit, the two Charizards decided to stick close to the group till they got out of the mountains. They still remembered what Silver had told them about possible poachers snooping around the area thanks to the rumours.
Charizard flew up followed by his mate and kept an eye on the group as they walked up the path towards the main town. As they got closer something caught their eye and Charizard flew down to tell Lucario the two of them were taking a detour for a bit. The aura Pokemon eyed them but nodded and let them go telling them to be careful. Ash hummed in acknowledgement and called the Ranger station and mentioned the poachers his Pokemon had noticed. The Rangers thanked him for the tip and went to work based on the information Ash gave them and comparing it to their own.
The poachers were definitely the same ones they were searching for and went after them planning on trapping them. The two large Charizards were a big help in rounding them up and the twister helped in ensuring the fire didn't go out of control. The Rangers knew of the two fire Pokemon thanks to Liza and Silver giving them a heads up and as long as they were respectful, the two would help the Rangers. The three poachers they caught refused to tell them anything so one of the Rangers had no choice but to call in her Espeon to read their mind.
Max looked around, "Where's Charizard?"
Charmender looked around as well, "Char?"
Ash, "They are currently completing an errand for Liza."
Brock, "Ah! Got ya."
Sorrel, "We'll give them a check up when they return."
Casey, "Hey look I see the town."
Verity, "Let's go everyone."
Gou, "Race ya! Loser has to buy dinner."
Ash, "Come on Max, we are beating them."
Max, "Yeah, hope on my back Charmender. I have longer legs."
Pikachu laughed as he jumped on Ash's left shoulder while Abra floated next to them, Eevee was on Ash's right shoulder and Absol was running beside him. Brock and Sorrel shouted a 'Hey!' as they chased them all to the large town, Lucario snickering when Brock came last. He moaned jokingly that he felt more like a Dad sometimes which made Casey hit his back saying it would be good practice for when he has a child. That made him turn red as a Cheri berry and splutter he was getting their dinner, a Raizen mountain special.
Ash, "He is serious about Yellow. I'm glad."
Gou, "It's good to see him settling down with one person. Watching him getting corralled by his Pokemon while hilarious was very very embarrassing."
Casey, "And watching him get rejected was very pitiful."
Verity, "He was that bad?"
Max, "He was quite the Casanova back then."
Sorrel, "Well he has a girlfriend now.... We should celebrate that I think?"
Casey, "Are they official though?"
Ash, "I'll ask Yellow later. Brock probably has not asked her."
Verity, "You think Yellow will?"
Gou, "In Brock's case.... It'll be official if Yellow ask him, rather than he ask her. He has flirted with so many women right in front of her..... "
Max face palmed, "Yeeeesh!"
A group of trainers who were sitting next to their table sweat dropped on overhearing their chat and gossip. They resisted their desire to face palm as well though one of them almost did face palm on hearing that blunder. If you want a girlfriend then, do not flirt with other girls in front of them, they will straight up reject you. Brock returned with the food on a large tray and Casey and Sorrel got up to help him with it. The dinner was fairly good and enjoyable, it was obviously influenced by the Rota Kingdom with whom the past leader of Raizen had connections with.
The two Charizards arrived late at night and Brock and Sorrel corralled them for a check up which they agreed to reluctantly. Ash woke up when the two flame users went to his room and joined him on his bed. It was colder in the town which was located near Mt Raizen and he didn't mind the extra heat around him, it was more than welcome. The three young Pokemon snuggled up to the fire Pokemon and started to purr and sleep soundly when Charizard cooed. The female Charizard rumbled to her mate and Charizard nodded, there were more poachers out there. He still remembers how much trouble his trainer got into, it'll be best to stick together for now.
Max, "Hey! I had applied for this school too."
Ash, "Raizen High for children interested in Pokemon and Pokemon based careers."
Verity, "Someone is coming."
A blond haired lady approached them, "Hello there! I'm Madam Korone and in charge of the battles. Are you here as guest or students or battlers?"
Brock, "We are all guest."
Korone nodded, "Come this way, the guest rooms are in the East side of the school. I am guessing you would want a place to stay for the night?"
Ash, "Yes please. That would be convenient."
Korone took the group to a building on the East side of the High School and after they left their bags gave them a tour. The High School was divided into four parts, the main school building, a large battle ground, a park and the residential area. Korone explained how the classes were held and battles and sometimes tournaments were held for the students. It was a nice day and Korone even shared an old tale with them about an Aura Guardian who had saved the second leader of Raizen Kingdom. The story was a fascinating one and they listened with rapt attention.
It goes as, the Aura Guardian was traveling through the mountains and she had come across a girl freezing in the mountain. The Aura Guardian was shocked to see her in the middle of nowhere but didn't hesitate from helping the teenage girl. When the teen woke up she was surprised to find she was still alive and started to cry. The Aura Guardian comforted her and after she stopped crying she told the Guardian she was the future Queen of the Kingdom but she had been betrayed by her Uncle who wanted the throne.
The Guardian had offered her protection and battle services and went down to the Kingdom, unwilling to leave it in the hands of such a cruel man. On the way the Guardian had helped a group of merchants who did not know what the Princess looked like, were talking about her. They said the Princess was apparently a sickly girl and would not survive long so she had given the Lordship to her dear Uncle. The Princess was shocked and wanted to refute but the Guardian had corrected them already. The merchants had been surprised and the Princess told them the truth of what had actually happened.
The ladies among the merchants were very appalled, they had daughters and nieces too, and such acts disgusted them. The men were very disturbed as well and started talking about how if the Uncle treated his own niece who is the Princess that way, what chance did the rest of the commoners have? The Guardian stayed by the Princess's side as the word spread and people started to know the truth more. The General who never trusted the Uncle had personally came to meet her and give her his support. The Aura Guardian commanded her Lucario to fight beside her while her Chansey helped in caring for the hurt and sick.
It was a long uphill battle but the Princess never gave up. She fought and bled for her people and her Kingdom. It was during one of her lessons with the Aura Guardian the Princess bonded with two wild Eevees. The three had a rough started in the beginning but after a few days became very close, that Eevee was the first Umbreon and Espeon to belong to Royalty. The three of them and the Aura Guardian dealt with the back stabbing Uncle and dethroned him. The Princess became the new Queen of Raizen after exiling her Uncle to the mountains.
