Bab 144: Mother's love

Whether or not it was a good idea, I was already inside the building, and I couldn't let the chance to explore the other rooms pass me by. Keeping an ear out, I quietly approached the door next to mine and peered inside. While scanning the room, I saw a dark shape move in the far corner. My mom felt compelled to say that to me.

I called out to my mother through the door's keyhole. No one got back to me, unfortunately. The volume of my voice was somewhat higher than usual, but I dared not raise it any further out of fear of being overheard. "Mum." The shadow got closer to the wailing person with each stride it took.

"Harry?" My mother's somewhat higher-pitched voice could be heard echoing through the door. How efficient are you at using the time you have?"Leave this place as soon as you can!"
