ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX

I got out of the taxi after I paid the driver. I stood in front of the mansion and looked up at the enormous building.

The guard outside recognized me and opened the gate for me with a discreet nod. I got into the compound and he closed the gates behind me.

"Rose" Travis walked down to me and hugged me.

"Hey," I patted his back.

"Are you okay? I was so worried when I heard about you," He held my shoulders and looked down for any injuries.

"I'm fine. Doing much better now,", I smiled.

"Are you sure you can be walking around like this? Have you taken your drugs? Are the wounds healing? What are you doing here, by the way? Aren't you supposed to be on a break?" He asked all in one go.
