With him mentioning my dad… I just realized that this was the first time I had ever dreamt about them in my sleep ever since my parents disappeared.

“…I just dreamt of my dad for the first time,” I said to him.

“Lucione…? What was that dream about?”

“…About how he saved me from a forest wyvern. It seems I was bitten by it when I tried to save a nine-tailed fox, and he scolded me because of it.” I told him. “He told me I was ‘reckless’ and ‘irresponsible’.”

“Haha, you sure are.” He laughed sarcastically.

“He also told me that if I needed help… I shouldn’t hesitate to ask for one.”

Hearing that, Principal’s gaze immediately softens.

“…So that’s the reason for your sudden change of heart.”

As soon as he muttered those words, I immediately lowered my head to him while shutting my eyes tight.

“…I know I’ve never lowered my head to you before, but— please. Save me, Principal.” I murmured desperately. “Until I could see my parents again… I don’t want to die yet…!”
