Bab 22: Chapter 21: A Promise Broken

The sound of footsteps trudging through water echoed throughout the damp, dark sewers as two figures navigated their way through the old labyrinthine complex. The air was stale and rancid, most men would struggle to breathe, luckily for these two, they aren't most men.

"We should be getting close." The man in a long tan trench coat said in a gruff, serious voice, the sound of his voice was akin to that often something naturally smooth that at the moment somehow seemed rough. He walked ahead, his dirty blonde brush-up styled hair was disheveled and unkempt, he wore a long scowl on his stubble bearded face, his lush green eyes were tired yet unwavering as he forced his senses to remain sharp despite his fatigue.
