Bab 166: Chapter 166: Blazing Brighter

'Good thing my warded arrows are still scattered all over the mountain,' thought Chizuru as she activated her "Serpent's Sense" while rushing towards the campsite with Seijurou.

Fortunately for the young ranger, she used her unique ability just in time for another unprecedented event.

Almost about the same time, both Chizuru and Seijurou signaled to each other, prompting themselves to take cover swiftly.

"Chizuru, get down!" yelled the boy as soon as he detected an incoming slash from a dark blade headed towards them.

"I know," uttered Chizuru while immediately rolling towards the side. She then drew her bow and reached for her quiver of arrows, which was no longer there for some odd reason. "Eh? Where are my arrows?"

Seijurou engaged Pan in a lightning fast, successive melee exchange before managing to squeeze in an answer for his best friend. "That would be my fault, sorry! Switch to melee combat style instead, but I'll handle him myself!"
