Bab 14: chapter 14:

I slowly opened my eyes, wincing in pain as a blinding light hit my face. I closed them again, trying to shield myself from the brightness.

Where was I? I wondered. What was that dream about?

Forcing myself to open my eyes, I heard a rhythmic sound: beep, beep, beep. I was in a room with a white ceiling, unable to move my head. The beeping sounds came from my right, and when I raised my hand to my head, I felt the thick bandage wrapped around it.

Realization struck. I was in a hospital room, no doubt about it. I had passed out again, this time in front of none other than Omar. Where was he now? Had he been the one to bring me here?

I groaned in pain as I tried to move, my whole body feeling stiff and sore from lying in an uncomfortable bed for who knows how long. I could feel my back aching.

Rushed footsteps approached my bed, and I knew he was here. My heart started pounding, and I anxiously waited for him to appear.
