Bab 123: Delving into the unknown

HANA

Water trickled down from the small bamboo shoot and it rolled down to the small pond by the garden.

My grandmother and I used to sit at the gazebo and share some tea while enjoying the fresh air breeze.

It was her philosophy that nature takes care of itself, but with human interference, it can bloom into something even more beautiful.

I took a deep breath and sighed.

There was a reason I didn't normally visit this place.

I didn't really have the chance to be close with my grandmother, but she was always there whenever I needed some form of comfort.

She might not even be aware of it, but she became my only source of strength whenever I felt like giving up.

After she passed away, the gazebo became out of touch, my grandmother's care lacking in it and vines wrapped around the walls, the garden becoming like an abandoned cemetery.

I sighed for the second time.

It felt a little different to be back home.
