Bab 353: Chapter 351 - Vine Invasion(Part 8)

"I know that attack...it belonged to Firyal," I muttered to myself grimly, as the vines fired out an XFE attack closely resembling her Secondary Manifestation, Hawk Arrow. 

I bolstered the XFE powering my Manifestation Surge form, the attack having no effect on me as it failed to get through my lightning armor. I then swiftly grabbed the vines, frying them upon contact. 

But they're taking longer to incinerate than before, what a pain...however, since my Manifestation Surge form is made almost entirely of lightning, save for a small XFE barrier around my body to keep me from getting zapped, the vines can't touch me without getting badly damaged themselves. 

It's coming down to a battle of attrition now, thanks to the director announcing that information about the vines. We need to make whatever's controlling the vines to use up all the XFE it's stolen and then force it out into the open.
