Bab 16: 16. Least Favourite Subjects
(What subject does Kiryuu teach? From KissxSis. I think it's math?)
Yuki had always hated learning Modern Japanese.
Even though he wasn't necessarily bad at it, he still couldn't understand why he needed to learn both hiragana and katakana until much later.
Hiragana is used for ordinary Japanese words while katakana is used to write words from foreign languages, people, places, sounds, etc.
(A\N: I might be wrong here.)
It was only when he took interest in other cultures that he started taking katakana seriously.
Yuki stood up along with the rest of the class as they greeted the teacher.
He really couldn't figure out why he hadn't noticed anything yesterday. Perhaps he didn't care about anything else apart from Chitoge?
Yuki shrugged as he tossed the idea to the back of his mind.

Hiratsuka Shizuka(Oregairu) was his Modern Japanese teacher.
Yuki was somehow irritated with the fact that one of his few anime waifus was the teacher of his least favorite subject.
'Perhaps I'll focus now?' Yuki thought as he tried to comfort himself.
Yuki went through the lesson in a daze. He already knew what was being taught but decided to take notes anyways.
It would be bad if Shizuka went around checking their work and noticed he hadn't written down anything in his book.
As he was writing, a screen popped up.
[Skill [Calligraphy] gained: (Lv:1\10)]
[Due to past life experience, skill [Calligraphy] has leveled up]
[Calligraphy (Lv:3\10)]
Yuki looked at this skill in confusion. He wondered why it hadn't appeared the previous day.
(A\N: Again, my bad writing. But I'll be sure to improve on it.)
He simply dismissed it as he went along with the lesson. Before he had even noticed, the lesson had ended.
After Shizuka left, Yuki turned to bot- talk to Yukana when he noticed her talking to somebody else.
He sighed as he laid on his arms and waited for the lesson to next lesson to start.
Yuki didn't wait long before the next teacher entered the class.
Yuki sighed as he watched the next teacher walk in.
Tachibana Hina(Domestic Kanojo) was the English teacher for the next lesson. Another one of his favorite teacher waifus.
Yuki's mood turned sour when he thought about the plot of the anime. Hopefully, the plot hadn't started yet and he could try to gain her affection?
Although Yuki thought this idea was good, he simply didn't know how to approach her at all.
'Maybe I'll have some plot armor?' Yuki was hoping for some kind of 'coincidence' to happen.
"Student over there, can you continue reading where we left off?" Yuki turned to see Hina calling him out. She had long noticed that he wasn't paying any attention.
Yuki cast Yukana's book a glance to see where they were before he flipped to the page. It was only now that he noticed his eyesight had improved too.
Yuki let out a cough as he began to read. He knew English like it was his second language.
While Yuki was reading, he missed the expressions of astonishment on his classmates' faces.
It was especially so for Hina. Yuki's fluency was a surprise to her. Even though she was a new teacher, she had basically grasped the abilities of the students in her class.
'Wait a second. Who is he?' Hina realised that she didn't recognize this student at all.
She remembered a quiet and gloomy boy sitting in his place.
'Are they...the same person?' The only thing Hina found similar was Yuki's dark, black hair. Everything else seemed unfamiliar to her.
'What could have happened?' As a passionate teacher, Hina had learned that overnight changes were usually caused by something bad. She thought about what she could do to help.
Yuki finished reading and looked to see everyone looking at him in surprise. Yuki wasn't bothered and looked at Hina
"Well done, but just because you can read well doesn't give you the excuse to not listen to my lesson. I'll talk to you after class. Sit." Hina said. She wanted to give her students some guidance.
Some snickers were heard after Hina announced that. Especially from the boys. They finally vented some of their jealousy.
Yuki sighed as he heard the punishment. Lunch was after this lesson and Yuki was looking forward to finally eating something.
'Hopefully, it won't take too long.' Yuki consoled himself with the idea as he sat down and listened to the rest of the lesson.
The rang and Yuki watched as the class gradually left, with only a few remaining.
He realised Hina was waiting for him and quickly packed up before approaching her.
