_______________
The classroom was dead silent. They simply didn't know how to react to Yuki's performance at all!
Not only had his guitar playing skills improved, but he could suddenly sing too. It was totally unexpected.
As Yuki set down his guitar to wipe his tears, Akane snapped out of her daze and began clapping. The rest of the class followed along as the room was filled with applause.
"That was wonderful Yuki-kun." Akane praised as her eyes sparkled. She never thought that Yuki could perform to such a degree.
"Thank you, Minagawa-sensei." Yuki said as his voice trembled.
That song was his goodbye.
To the place he could never see again.
To the people he could never meet again.
To the person he could never love again.
He would live on without them. Perhaps they might meet again on the path to reincarnation he had 'missed'.
For now, he would live the new life he was granted to the best of his abilities.
From this moment, there would no longer be any past life, previous or current Yuki.
He was just Yuki.
"Would you like to go to the bathroom?" Akane asked when she noticed Yuki's state.
"Yes please Minagawa-sensei." Yuki asked.
"Alright, go ahead." Akane let him leave.
"Yes." Yuki affirmed as he left the classroom. He knew he had to settle down. He didn't want to cry again.
However, Yuki had no clue that his performance was recorded. Not only that, but it was quickly spreading through the school!
...
Yuki splashed water on his face as he took a deep breath. Although his mental state handle completely recovered, it was still way better than before.
He looked at himself in the mirror and released a sigh. Shaking his head, he called out status.

Yuki had gained more skills today than he had the previous day. Probably because he didn't interact with as many people compared to today.
He took another deep breath to psyche himself up when a screen popped up.
[Skill [Meditation] has levelled up]
[Meditation (Lv:2\10)]
Yuki was quite surprised. This was the first of his skills to level up.
'Is it because it was a level one skill that it was easy to level up? Or maybe my past life experience wasn't close to levelling it up but brought it closer to level two?' Yuki mused as he walked out of the bathroom.
"I should have asked better questions when the system guide gave me a chance. Whatever." Ye said to himself as he walked out of the bathroom.
"Yosh!" Yuki slapped his cheeks and entered the class.
Looking around, he realised that everyone was doing their own thing. In fact, some of them weren't even in class.
When he had walked in, everyone collectively gathered their sights on him. They all had varying expressions on their faces.
Ignoring them, Yuki went to his guitar and packed it up. He decided he was taking it home today.
While Yuki was lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice Akane approaching him from behind.
"Are you okay, Takahashi-kun?" Akane asked. Yuki could feel her breath against his ear.
"Yes, I am. Thank you, Minagawa-sensei." Yuki said as he backed away a little.
"It's no problem at all." Akane said as waved. "By the way, what is the name of the song?"
"Oh, <in the rain>."
"<in the rain>?" Akane thought about any songs she knew with that name.
"Yeah, is the name weird?" Yuki asked when he noticed Akane's confusion
"No, it's not that. I just don't think I've ever heard it before."
"Well, I made it." Yuki said. He didn't feel shameful about claiming the credit for these songs.
"You?" Akane looked at Yuki with surprise. Although she thought that was the case, it still felt bizarre after he confessed to it.
"Yes." Yuki gave a simple affirmation.
Akane gave Yuki a weird glance. Did think the kid really go through some kind of breakup recently.
She thought about it and figured that might be the case. How else would someone be able to write such lyrics? Besides, his tears didn't seem fake.
She didn't intend to ask though. She also wouldn't like someone asking about her private life, even though she didn't feel any shame about it.
Thinking along these lines, Akane gave him a smile and praised him, "You're so talented."
"Thank you, Minagawa-sensei." Yuki said.
Just then, the bell rang, signalling the end of the lesson.
"See you tomorrow everyone." Akane waved as she watched her students leave the classroom.
Looking at Yuki's back, a thoughtful expression made its way onto Akane's face. For some reason, she felt like Yuki had his guard up around her today.
The changes in his behaviour and looks were too obvious. She suddenly felt like she couldn't figure out this student at all.
