Dear Diary

It's two in the morning and my recent nightmare is still sticking to my skin like sweat.

My mind has been completely focused on the number burning a hole in my phone.

I have opened a message about a thousand times with the intent of telling Matt who I am and what I need, but something important stops me each and every time.

The way I left things when I passed out on him last weekend.

I blacked out with Derek pounding away at Matt's face, meaning I needed to make sure this guy wasn't out to kill me.

Derek made it out like it was nothing and that he and Matt were fine, but a part of me is still worried Matt would hold a grudge.

I can't have that.

I need him right now.

Because I need it right now.

"You're awful quiet this morning." Brian says as we make our way through traffic to school. It's Monday and today marks the last week of school.

I glance at my phone once more, still anticipating a new message but still not getting one.

"Babe?"
