Taylor shut her eyes and counted to three to give herself time to collect her thoughts. She could not imagine fighting a battle on a high, mountainous slope. In fact, she could not imagine fighting a battle at all. Especially when the secret weapon appeared to be a devious dark fairy who was openly flirting with her best friend. No, she could not do it.

"Taylor"

She opened her eyes to see Geodhun looking up at her. "You can do this. We believe in you, Taylor. You have already shown us that you are tenacious and brave."

"I can't use a sword, I don't feel confident about defeating the Fabula, and I have no idea what I'm letting myself in for," she cried. "Geodhun, I'm sorry, but I think you have put your faith in the wrong person."

Geodhun frowned. "Who said anything about using a sword" he said. "This will be a battle of wits."
