Bab 85: Breaking Policy

Tyrone, who was facing away from them, turned around at the sound of a door being shut and stumbled backwards, his eyes widening in shock when he saw Imani. "Imani!" he exclaimed as his heart jumped, a cold wave embalming him. He couldn't believe his eyes. "You- I uh- What are you doing here?"

Imani and Lola furrowed their brows at him. "... I work here?" Imani replied, confused by the man's reaction to seeing her.

"Um, yes. Yes, you do. But uh... it's Saturday and you didn't... come here all week. So..." he trailed off as his chest heaved. He could no longer control his hands, they were shaking in an odd rhythm and he jammed them in his pockets as the hairs rose on the back of his neck while his mouth ran dry.

"So?" Lola muttered and he shook his head sideways as he let out a nervous laugh, giving them a dismissive wave of his hand.
