"Oh my, someone finally got the guts to come to the company"

"Shameless. Who does she think she is?"

"Arghh... how I want to rip her face?"

Wu Jinyan walked ahead not bothering the people shooting sniding comments at her. She knew it was the impact of her making an appearance with Gu Zihao at the Charity Gala.

It happened almost two weeks ago but it looks like the fire it ignited in the company was yet to be extinguished.

Although Gu Zihao already explained it as him promoting his new artist, the media might think of it as the truth but none in the company would believe it.

In the past, many artists hoped to get a chance to stand beside Gu Zihao inorder to get into the limelight but everyone failed to grab his attention.

Moreover, everyone in the company were aware of Gu Zihao's ideology. He absolutely hates someone trying to uplift themselves using him and always felt one should gain popularity by showcasing their talent and charisma on the screen.

And for a newbie like Wu Jinyan who signed the contract with the company only a few months ago to be able to accompany the boss, Gu Zihao so publicly, there had to be something fishy going on between them.

Many in the company wondered if she used any underhand methods and jumped onto him.

Wu Jinyan was almost at her manager Lin Ran's office when someone blocked her way, spreading their arms wide before her.

"What do you think you are doing?" Wu Jinyan didn't mind picking a fight if that was what the other people wanted to do with her. She raised her head to see the person who blocked her was Wanwan, the manager of a female actress, Diana Ding, who entered the company an year earlier than her.

"Can't you see? Or did you lose your sight after gaining the boss's favour?" Wanwan snickered, her face dripping with wickedness.

Her artist Diana Ding appeared in many TV shows and movies over the past one year and also acted as the female lead in the latest hit teenage drama. Diana was famous and very popular among the audience because of her beautiful face and sweet voice.

If there's anyone that's worthy of receiving Gu Zihao's attention, then it had to be her artist Diana Ding and not someone like Wu Jinyan who failed to land in one project since joining Star Entertainment.

"Oh my! Looks like someone's burning with jealousy. I should ask boss to order some drinks for everyone in the company to cool them down" Wu Jinyan exclaimed not taking Wanwan's fuming expression into consideration and picked up her mobile.

"You... you.." Before Wanwan could speak anything more, she was pulled back by a petite woman dressed in a white dress.

"Sister Wanwan, calm down. Let's get away from herw before someone thinks we are close to her and assume us to be the same kind as her"

"Ah... Diana dear. Yes, yes. What you said is always right. Someone can't even appear as an extra in a low rated drama but knows how to seduce men" Wanwan glared at Wu Jinyan and then looked at Diana.

"My dear superstar, let's go. It's time for your shopt for the fashion magazine" Wanwan lead Diana away, not forgetting to look at Wu Jinyan mockingly.

Wu Jinyan looked over her shoulders and observed Diana curling her fingers into tight fists asif trying to control her anger.

"Heh..." Wu Jinyan chuckled lightly before walking into Lin Ran's office room. She had seen many two faced bitches like Diana before, she couldn't bother about such women and waste her time.

As soon as Lin Ran saw Wu Jinyan walk into her office, she got up from her chair.

"Jinyan, I'm glad that you are finally back" Lin Ran rushed upto Wu Jinyan and hugged her tightly.

Baffled by Lin Ran's actions, Wu Jinyan didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

After half a minute, Lin Ran released Wu Jinyan from her bear hug as if she remembered something. "Wait, Are you okay now? I heard you got hurt"

Wu Jinyan saw the genuine concern in Lin Ran's face. This was the reason why she asked Gu Zihao to inform Lin Ran that she got hurt during the Charity Gala and was recuperating all this while. She didn't want Lin Ran to go berserk, worrying about her.

"Yes, Sister Lin. I'm fine. I'm doing better than ever. Don't worry" Wu Jinyan replied with a sincere smile.

"I thought something serious like what happened during Li Xiaoyi's MV shooting had happened again. Even boss looked very much concerned about you" Lin Ran rambeld on and failed to notice that Wu Jinyan's facial expressions had changed instantly.

Wu Jinyan gulped down the bitterness in her throat and tried to numb the raising pain in her heart. The last name she wanted to hear now was Li Xiaoyi.

She was yet to take revenge on that woman and also prove to the public that their beloved Star Singer, Li Xiaoyi was actually a cheater who stole and claimed someone else's song as hers. She was yet to show Gu Zichen that she wasn't a naive woman for him to play and make him regret his past actions.

Wu Jinyan was burning with fury as she thought about Li Xiaoyi and Gi Zichen, she had to gulp down the whole bottle of water offered to her by Lin Ran.

"Sister Lin, call me if there are any auditions suitable for me. I'll go back and rest for now" With that, Wu Jinyan stood up from her seat.

"Alright, Make sure you are in good condition. I won't let you go this time unless you grab a big project. I can let other managers and artists to look down on you" Lin Ran walked Wu Jinyan out of her office and towards the elevator.

Expecting Wu Jinyan would go to the ground floor to walk out of the building, Lin Ran also joined Wu Jinyan as she was in the mood for an iced coffee and wanted to grab one at the cafe infront of the building.

However, Wu Jinyan pressed the button to the top most floor, which had nothing else than only Gu Zihao's office.
